Haha cool air, not Motorsport clean air!

Ok, I added RGB ram for the twinkles too, so I think I ought to go back to standard ram now so that the radiator can be top mounted. Do you think it makes more sense for the rad to be top mounted rather than keeping the RGB RAM and having PCS front mount it? In terms of thermal efficiency, rather than what will look good...

Whilst top mounting would technically be the best option you won’t need to worry about the mounting position too much with the 5600X, it’s not a thermal monster. I run a 3800X in a pretty small case with a H100i RGB Platinum which is front mounted and my temperatures are excellent.

That's great, I can happily keep the sparkly stuff then!

And once again, thanks for your help.

Last post on the spec of this machine - I promise!

I am now on day 18 of pre production so I anticipate it may go into building this week.

To recap, I have an MSI Optix G27CQ4 165hz 1440p monitor and will be using the machine to replace my console, and for office work. Spec as below, although I had to pop it into a new quote as it will only let me post the original spec of the PC to the forum otherwise.

Any further optimisations, recommendations or observations gratefully received! I know I have already had a bunch of help on this - but it's getting towards squeaky bum time and I'm nervous!

The Meshify C is a great case. For cooling, one of the Corsair Capellix coolers -- probably the H100i -- would be the ideal if you want the bright lights! It's overkill for the 5600X, but that's not a problem except for the budget! If you're adding an AIO I'd probably want to move the rear exhaust fan to the front of the case instead -- you can either ask PCS to do that or do it yourself when the PC arrives: it's very easy.
Just another thing I have noticed, there isn't enough room to have the two case fans both at the front. The inlet/outlet fittings on the rad are too close to the fan mounting area unfortunately.

I guess this could be sorted at a later date by sourcing a couple of thinner fans in the unlikely event that temps become an issue.

Finally up and running!

If anyone has recommendations on where to source high quality images for desktop backgrounds, please advise.

Also, I'm having real problems with my keyboard and mouse (Corsair K57 RGB Wireless & Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless). The both work perfectly when I use them plugged in, however when I use them wireless the mouse seems to lose signal ad behave skittishly and the keyboard drops and muddles keystrokes all over the place. I have updated all the firmware etc and am running the latest version of iCue so I'm not sure where to run with this except getting in touch with Corsair customer support.

What connection method are you using? Bluetooth or the dongle?

I am using the dongle currently. I did try to connect the mouse using bluetooth as it has that functionality but I couldn't get the PC to find it. I wondered if the PC didn't support Bluetooth 4.0.

Either way, I just want it to work properly with the dongle.

Cables?! What cables?! @AgentCooper There's a cage attached under the desk to hold the surge protector. All the other wires etc are fastened up out of the way there too. I hate having wires all over the place.

Try only pairing one device with the usb initially, I’ve heard reports that it doesn’t support multiple devices on one usb like it claims

I had been running with all devices connected through their own dongle. I have now tried the opposite, with mouse & keyboard running through a shared dongle. I'm going to give it a little longer but it seems that this has cured the problem. Until I try and connect my headset later on, no doubt...
yeah can hear it just looking at it, nice looking system, love that desk as well
Thanks. I rescued the desk out of the skip at the mill I used to work at. It was the old weighbridge desk and is oak, I'm not sure who had the idea to throw it out. It needed a little TLC but it suits me just fine.
