Do you mean PCSpecialist sent you the original faulty GPU back in your RMA?Right pc is back, im about 90% sure this is my original gpu that i sent back, has the same kinda blemishes and it is a little more dusty than a new one would be but ah well lmao
not had much chance to test yet but fingers crossed... the pop in still exists, even in baulders gate somehow, but reading about it, it seems like the 40xx series drivers have had this issue for a few months, so in about a year itll be fixed....lol
Anyway, thank you for all your help everyone! fingers crossed i dont need to send it back anymore lol
As i said, im only 90% sure... Lol it just has the same blemishes and iits more dusty than id expect a new one to be, same make ect, maybe the first gpu past rma testing and they decided to put it back in? IdkDo you mean PCSpecialist sent you the original faulty GPU back in your RMA?
Man, i really really don't want to do that again lol i just want a functional pc with few issues 😭 this pc has had the most issues ive ever had with any hardwareAlso, the Secure Boot Violation error can be caused by a variety of issues. Often times the easiest way to solve it is a fresh reinstall of Windows - something you're probably sick of doing at this point.
Its more that i just feel defeated and sad honestly 😅 not sure what else to do at this point ☠️Your patience for dealing with the amount of issues you've dealt with is honestly admirable.
Yeah i think if i have any more issues then ill have to ask to be refunded or something because it has been endless issues, i had such a good experience with my last pcs pc so thought id have the same this time. After everything you've had to deal with from the arrival of your PC, I wouldn't be surprised if you just issued a refund. The amount of problems you've had to deal with both before and after the RMA is ridiculous. The whole point of this service is to build you a PC that performs well and is fully up to date in accordance to the hardware picks. With the amount of money paid, you should be expecting your PC to be thoroughly tested and optimised before it ever leaves the factory.
You realistically have 2 options:
- If you continue to have the pop-in issues, consider RMA'ing it again and hope they fix it this time (and hope DPD doesn't damage during shipping another time)
- Issue a refund due to the poor performance of the PC
That's so strange, I wonder what the root cause could have been, but a full rebuild sounds like it was something that just couldn't be figured out, perhaps multiple issues had arisen from a power surge or somethingHey so aged update for this - i got the rma back and basically had the same issues. delayed the send back and worked with nvidia support to diagnose but no luck. gave up and felt hugely sad about the whole thing.
Sent back to pcs and got an email today that they have pretty much rebuilt my whole pc with new parts.
I have to say, i am extremely impressed by this response and wanted to end this thread on a big positive and a massive W for PCS, thank you pcs for all your help on this and all the users on here that helped me diagnose and test <3
I will for sure update! i am excited to have a working pc back lolThat's so strange, I wonder what the root cause could have been, but a full rebuild sounds like it was something that just couldn't be figured out, perhaps multiple issues had arisen from a power surge or something
That's great they've just rebuilt it entirely, and it's just a shame it went on for quite a while.
Do keep us updated when you get it back, want you singing and dancing with a fully stable monster!
I think we did, we did the samsung ssd checker programThe 0xC0000428 exception on that Recovery screen is an INVALID_IMAGE_HASH, it means that the hash of the system image doesn't match the image. The image is likely corrupt or has been tampered with, or (more likely) the boot drive is faulty.
I'm not going to read back through such a long thread, but did we ever check that Samsung 980 Pro? It might just need popping out and re-seating properly.
Hmmm...so we need to ask why the 0xC0000428 exception occurred?I think we did, we did the samsung ssd checker program
Probably no chance in finding out now sadlyHmmm...so we need to ask why the 0xC0000428 exception occurred?
If you feel you want to, upload your system logs and hopefully @ubuysa can take a look at themPc back today.
Sadly not a happy update as same issues in games happening
Pcs said - We have completed our RMA repair of your system. As this is the second RMA for the same issue we have performed the core rebuild as requested. This included replacing the CPU,RAM, Mainboard, All M.2 SSDs (including the additional M.2 purchased previously) 2.5 SSD, PSU, GPU and the cooler with windows reinstalled. The system has been tested and is operating as expected.
So at least i can rule out a hardware issue, and think maybe its just a wierd driver issue or hardware conflict or some wack
But for now its just something i will need to live with!
Still, pcs did above and beyond so cant fault them at all on this
Maybe in 3 years ill be able to enjoy my games when they fix the issue 😂
I am unsure if this would appear in the logs honestlyIf you feel you want to, upload your system logs and hopefully @ubuysa can take a look at them
It could be some peripheral you've plugged in that's causing an issue
1. Enter the command eventvwr into the Run command box. The Event Viewer will open.
2. Locate the Windows Logs folder in the left hand pane and expand it by clicking on the arrow (>) to the left of it.
3. Right-click on the Application entry and select 'Save all events as...'. Choose a folder anywhere that suits you and a filename of 'Application' (an .evtx suffix will be added automatically).
4. Right-click on the System entry and select 'Save all events as...'. Choose a folder anywhere that suits you and a filename of 'System' (an .evtx suffix will be added automatically).
5. Zip the Application.evtx and System.evtx files together and upload the zip file here.
And apologies to ask again, but what specific games are you trying?
Just to also say, this issue wasnt the only reason i made the rma, there where a few other more system breaking issues lol but those are gone nowI am unsure if this would appear in the logs honestly
Basically every game has horrendously bad draw distance / lod - object pop in. If you have played pokemon scarlet or pokemon arcues, or that new king kong game, thats the level of bad lol but in pc games at max settings
The games ive tried
Hitman 3
Warhammer 3
Wow
Overwatch
Resident evil 4 remake
Resident evil 5
Rachet and clank rift apart
Spiderman , the one that came out on pc recently
Baulders gate 3
And a few others i cannot think of right now. Thing is, i know it doesn't affect the actual playing of the game but once im playing the game, its all i can see and think about then i just get sad and don't want to play anymore.
Since pcs has replaced all my parts i am completely bamboozled.
I was so sure it was a faulty part or something...
texture pop videos – Google Drive
drive.google.com
Just a few examples that i have, had about 20 more at one point but stupidity didn't back them up before reinstalling windows at some point lol sadly nvidia record seems to destroy the quality of the video so some are hard to see.
The most egregious ones for me are the baulders gate and resident evil and fallout ones
I did a playthough on fallout and resident evil 5 about two weeks before getting the new pc so i know i had non of these issues with the old system.
Wow is probably the worst offender, objects and npcs loading in 5 meters from me at max draw distance lol
Ive tried different screens, dif mouses dif plugs, dif rooms, ive tried 100s of "fixes" ive even tried nvidia support and their hotfixes but nada.
