Would there be any advantage to changing the RAM configuration to 4 x 8gb Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz over my current 2 x16gb 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3200MHz

I noticed you’ve chosen the following:

Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler

When I spec’d a similar PC I was advised to use the H115i version. Only trouble is it doesn’t fit into the 4000D case. The larger 5000D case is out of stock.

If the cooling solution you’ve selected is good enough. I will probably go for this 4000D case.

Cooling and reliability is my biggest worry.

Edit: Hang on. I just changed to the 4000D case and it didn’t flag up any issues with the 3080/3080TI and 115i cooler. Previously it wouldn’t let me combine the two due to size constraints.

H100i (Capellix) cooler is cooling my 5800X great guns no probs. But yeah, for the 4000's the H115i with it's extra 20mm width counting for a lot given the spacing will exclude the taller RAM kits, especially RBG ones IF that's your thing (the shorter Corsair Vengeance RGB SE might do though) as the H100i does leave wriggle room (helps that the top mounts are significantly offset from the centre) but not a lot...

As for the 5000 series cases, I might've got one but for desk space aso. I also would've felt off if I didn't fill that scooped side space's fan slots with more fans if not a 360mm AiO. As it is my 4000D is fine, the H100i and 4 case fans (all on balanced preset so far but could probably go quiet with no probs) for a 5800X and 6800XT. So far I've only had over 70C sustained on either running 3DMark tests, with maxed out AAA gaming at 3440x1440 5-10C lower, though they idle higher than my previous experience, in the high 40's-low 50's

I had a £30 digital voucher from Samsung due to some issues with our washing machine delivery and installations (yes that is plural) so I bought a 870 QVO SATA 2.5” SSD 2TB from Samsung Store (for my, please god, soon to belivered new pc) which was listed as £170 on their website but I got a £17 discount through my work portal and then my £30 voucher actually rocked up as £110 when I put the code in so only cost me £43 in the end!! A very happy bunny for this result!

But does the 870 QVO really get the ground in dirt out of your whites?

Well the SSD arrived, just need my new PC to slot it into now! I also got points on the works reward portal based on the full value of the purchase so another £6.12 to spend, so effectively cost me less than £37 in the end :)
