2x16 3600mhz vs 4x8 3200mhz RAM

So, overall general consensus is we go for 4 of the 3200 blah blah blahs, optionally picking some with pretty lights, until we get a confirmed fix from the ASUS wizards?
I think that’s a sensible move for the time being. Unless (as @Nursemorph noted) we’re looking at a music production build, in which case 2x16GB at 3600MHz would be probably be the all round better move. And if that producer uses so many plugins that they eventually need to double up to 64GB of RAM then we’ll just have to pray to the silicon gods that the instability problems will have been ironed out by then.

I notice that the 2812 is a beta version and there's a newer 2816 beta, 3001 non-beta, and 3202 beta versions available.

Think I'll leave well alone for now, as it's working fine (he says with all 8-fingers on his wooden desk).

Remember any BIOS update needs to be run past PCS first otherwise you may invalidate warranty.

Come to think of it, my current rig is 4x 8gb ram 3600 which was lowered down to 3466 by PCS. I'm guessing for stability.
I've got mine running at 3533mhz for 4x8gb on a strix X570- F MB.

I did have it running at 3600mhz at one point for a number of weeks but I messed something up in the bios with my fans and it reset the ram all back to 2133mhz and so far every time I try 3600 again its not liking it so just leaving it for now.
