There are several possibilities, ranging from least serious to most serious these are....

1. The drive just needs removing and reseating. If this was the problem then it's likely all your data/programs/games are still there.

2. The drive partition table was damaged in the crash. If this was the problem then your drive is probably ok, but you'll most likely lose all data/programs/games on there because a reformat will be the way forward.

3. The drive is damaged. If this was the problem then you've lost all data/programs/games on there and you'll need to replace the drive (under warranty I assume).

If the BIOS doesn't show the drive at all then the issue is almost certainly either numbers 1 or 3, and since 1 is the best outcome you need to remove and reseat the drive.

It is worth mentioning to you, as you seem nervous about opening the case and looking for the drive to remove / reseat it, that PCS have an open case policy which does allow you to do this and as long as extreme care is taken you will not void the warranty.

Just ensure you have grounded yourself beforehand to ensure no static transfer when touching electronic components. Ensure the PC is switched off at the wall plug.

If you are not sure what you are looking for or how to open your case etc then a quick google for a video may help you see how easy it is.

You are likely to need a small Philips (star) screwdriver as the drive might have a little screw in it.

Right Guys.. I turned pc off last night and left off. I checked this morning. The drive is now showing with all my games on, Then about 2hours into a game. it crashed again. Then the harddrive wasn't showing. So i got someone to remove the drive and reseat it. and it was fine, then it crashed again and drive wont show again untill i turn the machine off.. I know the drive is for mod games only. So i decided to install another game what is not modded, then crashed again, Driver wont show unless i turn off and leave it for about 5/10min

Open an elevated command prompt of PowerShell session, navigate to the drive that you're having problems with (obviously at a time when the drive is working) and enter the command chkdsk /f /x and press the Enter key. When the chkdsk command has completed and you're back to the prompt again take a screenshot of the output and post it here.

Note that you will have to reboot after running this chkdsk command, this command will take the drive offline.
