Hi friends,

I just bought this spec. I wanted to get your thoughts on it and whether it's powerful enough to run games in 240hz refresh rate on the Odyssey G9 QLED Dual-QHD 32:9 Gaming Monitor - https://www.samsung.com/uk/monitors...-1000r-curved-display-49-inch-lc49g95tssuxen/ ?

ALSO, is it a badass setup generally?? Thanks for your responses!!

Firstly, congratulations on choosing the G9, it truly is a phenomenal monitor and the 3080 is the right card to push frame rates on it.

However, I feel you’ve dropped the ball by going for an Intel build. Check out the thread below for a long list of reasons why AMD are the wise choice these days...

I (and pretty much everyone else here) would strongly recommend you cancel that order ASAP and come back for some advice 👍

As @AgentCooper says, Intel are now the weak underling with no sign of gaining traction for years to come. They're about 6 years behind the times now in basic architecture, just really poor CPU's in general.

An equivalent priced AMD chip will get you around 20% more in single threaded, and often 50% more in multithreaded, there's just absolutely no competition.

Just a further kudos on choosing the G9, it's quite simply, hands down the ultimate gaming / productivity monitor in existence imho, nothing comes close as yet, although I sincerely hope we'll be seeing more competitor products emerging at CES in January.

Hopefully the success of it has been for all to see.... it's just a thing of utter beauty!

Definitely not badass.

bit like buying what you think is an M3 and finding out it’s a 320i with body kit.

Also if reordering go with for some more watts on your PSU is a good idea.

What would make it badass?

Thank you for the spec!! May I ask, what's the purpose of having 2x M.2 SSD drives? Do they complement each other somehow or is the faster one meant to be where the OS is stored on? I can't see the option to assisn the OS to either M.2 when proceeding with the order.

One for OS, other makes for rapid game loads.
