I'm looking for a good 1440p monitor with a high refresh rate around £250 - £400 I really want a 240hz monitor but I doubt it's in my price range and would like some suggestions to see if there is any good 240hz monitors for that price or if there is an alternative I can use which will be decent and within my price range.

MOST VALUED CONTRIBUTOR
The MSI MAG274QRF-QD is around £350: 165Hz and very, very good reponse time performance.

The Cooler Master GP27Q is around £450 and is very good, with HDR compatibility.

I would have either of these things over chasing ultra-high refresh rates that will probably not even be discernible to you. If you must go over 200Hz (a bad idea IMO) the cheapest option is the ViewSonic XG271QG at around £600.

Do you understand what high refresh means? It does absolutely nothing for graphical fidelity, unfortunately a lot of people coming from console who’ve recently seen the benefits of over 60hz think that just increasing hz indefinitely will lead to a better experience, I’m afraid that’s wholly inaccurate, most people can’t determine any difference over 120hz, there’s a very real reason why competitive players get paid so much as in any sport, they’re literally superhuman.

For the premium required for high refresh, you’ll get a far superior gaming experience with better panel quality at 144hz.

Hi I have tried to find the MSI MAG274QRF-QD online but can only find it in "ebuyer" and "overclockers uk", amazon does have it but they won't be able to deliver it till the end of the month.

Do u think ether "ebuyer" or "overclockers uk" are reliable or if you wouldn't trust either of those websites could you please give me another monitor suggestion within the £300 - £400 range thanks you.

Overclockers are extremely good and have a good returns policy.

EBuyer are a bit questionable for returns especially with monitors, they won’t accept returns for dead pixels for example unless it’s over the ridiculous legal threshold.

Oh, AO have them in stock, they’re very reliable

And overclockers have it available for delivery on Tuesday? Not sure why you’re being told you can’t get it too the end of the month?
