Here's a decent 1440p gaming PC that fits your budget. Yours was not really well-designed.

N.B. The 9700X is a placeholder for a 9800X3D or 7800X3D CPU when they become available.
If you plan to transfer your current OS licence to the new system, you would save an additional £110.

Case
CORSAIR 3500X ARGB TEMPERED GLASS MID-TOWER (BLACK) - Much better case than the unknown PCS one
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 9700X Eight Core CPU (3.8GHz-5.5GHz/40MB CACHE/AM5) - Placeholder, you'll need the 9800X3D in a couple of weeks
Motherboard
GIGABYTE X870 EAGLE WIFI7 (AM5, DDR5, M.2 PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7) - Newer chipset, more than enough for your needs
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz (2 x 16GB) - AM5 frequency sweetspot
Graphics Card
16GB XFX RADEON™ RX 7900 GRE - HDMI, 3 x DP - Good 1440p GPU, NVIDIA will bring you above budget
1st M.2 SSD Drive
512GB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 4700MB/sW) - OS Drive
1st M.2 SSD Drive
2TB SOLIDIGM P41+ GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 4125MB/sR, 3325MB/sW) - Main Drive
Power Supply
CORSAIR 1200W RMx SHIFT SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET - ATX 3.1, spikes protection, plenty for future upgrades
Power Cable
1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)
Processor Cooling
CORSAIR ICUE LINK H115i RGB HIGH PERFORMANCE CPU COOLER - Strong 280mm AIO, nearly cableless thanks to ''LINK'' tech

Hi,

I used this Spec and upgraded to the RX 7900 XT and added the 1 TB of OS drive. I will wait until the new CPU comes out in a few weeks.

However, I got this message.

Do I need a new process cooling system or my power supply?

Which power supply have you configured?

This will need the 1200W RMx Shift (the CX ones are basic/office-spec ones and would never be recommended for a high-power gaming PC.

I put this in and I now get the below message. However, I haven’t inputted the 9800x3d CPU yet as it’s not available. Is 1200w overkill like the message states ?

Unfortunately the options for newer ATX3.1 PSUs that PCS currently offer mean that it's either 'underpowered' in the 750RMe or 'overpowered' in the 1200W RMx Shift.

The 850W and 1000W options are the older ATX2.4 versions which don't have the built-in protections for the power spikes that modern GPUs have been producing (2x their stated power).

There's no harm in using a more powerful PSU, as it doesn't mean it will draw 1200W all the time, it will just deliver the amount of power the PC requires - and has plenty of headroom to 1) allow for future upgrades, and 2) work in it's most efficient range most of the time.

The PCS warning is simply that. It's saying what the minimum you could get away with NOW - and doesn't take into account the efficiency range of a PSU nor the ability to upgrade to more power-hungry components.

Okay thank you, makes sense.

I am waiting for the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D to come out as a CPU. However, I’m not very good with technology. I was told to build this for what I want on another forum post. What's your max budget? What monitor will you pair with it?

I reckon 2.2 -2.3k is my max budget and I have a Dell Gaming monitor that’s 1440p and 165hz.

Good, your build is pretty spot on. (y)

I'd just go with a slightly better motherboard and save £120 on the GPU (7800XT) because the new RTX 5000 is expected to perform better than the previous NVIDIA/AMD generation (January-February 2025). Anyway, if you don't want to wait for it, you can put back the 7900XT.

Thank you for your help.
I’m not sure I want to wait any longer for a new GPU as I’ve been waiting for the new CPU. If I don’t make the change to the GPU would you still recommend a better motherboard ? If so which one ?

A solid motherboard is fundamental, it's one of the most important components of any system (along with the case and PSU).
The Eagle isn't so bad, but at this price, I'd go with an AORUS ELITE (with the X870E chipset) or an ASUS TUF (with the lower-spec X870 chipset).

It's up to you; put simply the 7900XT on the build above and you're good to go. :)

1 other thing I was told that the 7900XT is better for what I want than the 4070 Ti super. As originally I was building around a 4070 Ti super. Would you say this is the case ?

Yes, if you want pure FPS without any NVIDIA technology (DLSS, RT, or FG), the 7900XT offers slightly better raster performance than the 4070ti Super.

I’ve ordered this PC but just wanted to check if the case is good. I was told to get a CORSAIR 3500X ARGB Mid-Tower ATX PC Case. However, there were none left so I went for the Corsair 4000D AIRFLOW Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX Case. Will this make a huge difference as I looked it up and it said it is still good.

If you can stick to the same thread please, otherwise it's difficult to track what's going on, and they get merged anyway

The 4000D wouldn't be enough IMHO, I'd want a 5000X
