13.3" Lafité - what happened to the 6th generation option?

I saw two weeks ago there was an option for the 6th generation Intel processors (13.3" Lafité II).

I see now there is only i3 / i7 (5th generation), running down stock or just an error?

Thanks
Wes

Thank you. No ethernet?

No, they can supply a usb-c to ethernet adapter if you request one.

It's the way laptops are going now, with AC wireless being over the speed of a Gigabit ethernet port, it's feasible to drop a dedicated ethernet port.

Good to know, thanks. USB-C seems rather versatile.
I have been concidering a Lafite for a while, seems there are issues with the trackpad with V1

I am now concidering the Enigma VI, what you loose in some speed (and extra nice things such as 720P video and more choice with Disks/WIFI) you gain in passive design.

Using the Lafité II right now. The touchpad issues seems to be gone since I don't have any issues with the trackpad, you just have to change the touchpad settings to your liking. I'm enjoying the heck out of using this laptop a lot. When I'm in class this laptop creates for an interesting conversation because of it's lack of branding when people expect it to have an Apple logo on it, which sings praise as to how nice this laptop looks.
The fan in this laptop is a weird one, it likes to turn on and off a lot when doing intensive tasks. I imagine the fan turns on when the CPU hits a certain temperature threshold and turns off immediately when it's below that, which makes the fan spinning quite glaring. An improvement would be if the fan changed up and down the RPMs more slowly.

I'm also on my Lafite II and loving it. Had some issues with the touchpad but it was due to the drivers not installing. A simple restart fixed that. Really happy with this laptop so far. Definitely will be throwing a review up soonish.

Also how many RAM slots are there, i see they only offer 1 stick of 2, 4 or 8gb cannot really run dual channel...

was thinking of getting 4gb then adding another 4gb stick....

Edit: the LFT 1 only had 1 socket so i guess its 1 stick only

Sound comes out of the bottom sides of the Lafite II. The mids and highs are good for what they are but there's little bass

I guess so. The speakers sit quite low on the laptop so if it's on an uneven surface then it could get muffled easily. They're definitely good enough for their design.

I have no problems with the touchpad, but it have a tiny bit of input-lag.
The fan controller sure is annoying, can we hope for a bios upgrade?

Do you have problems with the wi-fi range? I get better speed on my phone when I'm not close to the router.
Also, charge time, it takes a whopping 7-8 hours to charge from empty to full. Should it really be like that? Seems crazy.

It's an okay laptop, considering the spec you can get for the price. The sound is pretty terrible, however and I had a bunch of build issues from PCSpecialist.

I actually really like the keyboard. It feels better than even a new 15" Retina Macbook Pro I set up a week ago. (Apple seems to have changed the keys and made them flimsier)
