1 Long beep, followed by 3 short beeps ASUS B560

Hi, only had my PC a couple of weeks and it doesn't always do it, I think the issue relates to something with the GPU, but everything seems to work fine. I thought it was because the monitor was powered off but it still happens occasionally. I cant see anything that is wrong with the PC.

Reluctant to have to send it back as I've already had to do it once for another fault and get a replacement fan sent out to me.

Anyone help? thanks!

Hiya. Please could you post your full spec from your orders page?

You’re right in thinking that that code corresponds with a GPU issue, it may just be that there’s a slightly loose contact which is causing the issue to crop up occasionally. My first port of call would be to remove and reseat the GPU, also checking to see if there’s any dust on the connection.

It's the first PC I've owned in well over 10 years so I'm not super confident in messing with the hardware side so was trying to avoid digging around in it straight away

It’s a reasonably simple thing to do, remove the power supply cable at the front of the card, undo the screws that secure the card to the inner frame, push the clip on the motherboard away from you (not down as in the pic below) and gently pull until the card releases. Then just do the opposite when reseating it (you’ll hear a little click when the clip pops back into place)

You’ll also want to make sure the machine is earthed, so turn off the PSU at the rear of the PC but leave it plugged into the socket 👍

Ok thanks I'll give it a go when I'm back from work tonight :)

Reseated the card but it didn't work. Just noticed it doesn't come up with the boot screen. Just blank then straight into windows login.
