Furthermore, you can mount it on the wall if needed with A standard 200 x 200 vesa mount. You can also get desk mounts which I have.

P.S. if you buy from amazon, their returns policy will cover most manufacturing faults out of the box so returns are easy. That’s if in worst case you get a dead pixel or something.

No, for viewing, itd be excellent. I have a 28” 4K and I’ve always said 32” is the absolute minimum size really. 43 would be awesome.
any issues with splitting a single screen for multiple applications? I suppose this is psychological as I always had 2 screens

That screen has 4 separate inputs so you can effectively use it as 4 screens if you wanted to and have a quadrant per input.

no, all a single input, but say you are using AutoCAD and say a 3D model, so I would normally have one on one screen and the other on the other..

Yeah, that would be fine, there's a feature in windows 10 where you drag the window to the corner you want it to fill and it will automatically size it to a quarter size. Or if you drag it to the right middle it will split them in half.

PCS Monitor Straight
ASUS VP28UQG 28" 4K GAMING MONITOR

Heard that curved monitors were more immersive, not sure if worth spending the extra for the curve?
There is an argument when it's a really large monitor, but imho, anything below about 35" is one of those kinda pointless snake oil things. But that's just me.

The thing with that monitor is that it's aimed at gaming, and so all the money has gon into the refresh rate, and response time, neither of which are relevant for your uses.

Between the two, I'd get the bonkers big one, without a shadow of a doubt.
