Can contest to it gaming amazing (have the same specs near enough). Having come from a 5 year old 60hz MSI laptop, the smoothness of the panel is just unreal and the performance is excellent, I wouldn't be concerned about the response time. I can't comment on how the keyboard is for gaming, as I...
Hey guys, bit of an AMD/CPU fiddling noob.
Anyone mind going through the "power management tricks" in layman's terms so I can have a go myself?
Following the other thread, got some grizzly kryonaut on the way to see how that plays out!
Thanks @NorthDakota, I took a look on the disc but I could only see the same sort of files that were on my drivers download page, maybe I didn't look close enough!!
How are you finding the PC so far?
I read somewhere on here that someone repasted it straight away and it helped quite a bit...
Ah got you!
Previous laptop (MSI) had something that loaded on boot which drastically improved the laptop speakers, haven't noticed in on the Nova. Perhaps it's working as intended then, thanks!
Hey guys,
Can't seem to figure out how to get Sound Blaster running, got the drivers from the support page, but the app doesn't seem to exist.
What am I doing wrong?
Cheers.
Really useful post thanks.
I'll do some more general research prior to any attempts, but as we're talking specifically about the Nova, is there anything specifically that you would advise to look out for when re-pasting it?
Cheers!
Nice! Mines in testing since yesterday morning. Guy emailed me to say it should be ready for dispatch today, for delivery tomorrow. But can't see it happening (not being spiteful, just know they have a ton on!)
Welcome!!!
You'll find this to be an unusually active and helpful forum, I couldn't believe it!
Tagged you in another post, but looks like we have a MTG fan among us!
Congrats on paying off your mortgage!
As someone who's just started, it's a nearly unimaginable amount of time until I will achieve the same!
Welcome, and start building something ASAP ;)
Haha, ordered on the 4th May, it's been a tricky wait. Should be worth it though for that sweet Ryzen!
As fair as I could tell, you get much more bang for your buck going through PCS, plus I like the whole journey (which outside of a pandemic would be a lot smoother).
Also, less bloatware!
@NorthDakota Identical to yours, save for the SSDs, amount of Ram and Ryzen 7.
Just says it's waiting for the Clevo NH55AFW (8GB RTX-2070, 144Hz N7, Blank KB) (chassis)
