Thanks - I have to say since swapping the thermal paste for the kryosheets, even under heavy strain my laptop doesn't even come near the previous temperatures. I don't even fully turn up the cooling pad, opting to only run half the fans (nearest the air intakes).

You are right sorry - the GPU hits maximum temps of around 74dC and hot spot around 82dC note: i edited OP for clarity

FYI - I think I have sorted this - I had the THX set to 'THX Spacial Audio' and switched this over to 'THX Stereo' and it stopped happening. I assume it must be a bug of some sort.
