Hard to tell. AMD is not let letting the techtubers reveal benchmarks and other stuff until sometime today. So far it looks like both have their pros and cons. AMD selling the idea of more vram, faster benchmarks with some games, more overclocking potential, smart access memory, better power...
You can amend your order. Log in to your account on PC Specialist website. There should be amend order option there on the order details bit. Hopefully the RX 6800XT available by 2pm today (fingers crossed)
The odd thing is that the other online PC webstores are not revealing anything on RDNA2 GPU. And AMD doesn't seem to allow the tech tubers to do any benchmarks or testing on them. I think I'll ask tomorrow to see A.I.B which cards PCS will likely to stock up. Either way the reference card looks...
The sales team told me they used whichever brand they can get hold of. They had XFX and Sapphire brands in the past. If you phone up sales team tomorrow, maybe they can tell you which brand they used for your PC build.
I hope so. I heard the AIB ones will come out a week after the reference rx6800/xt launches. So hope they restock fast after launch. I spoke to the sales team today and he said I'm in build queue no 1776 and they are still waiting on supplies of 5900x cpu to arrive and they have no news of the...
Sorry to see that. I'm sure you already emailed to PCS so that they can give DPD feedback over package mishandling . I got messed around a bit by DPD with delivery of PCS recoil 2 laptop. PCS was helpful, chased up DPD and resolved the issue.
That's a really amazing looking monitor you got there...
I assume that 3600mhz rams will be stable running games on? When I spoke to one of the sales team on the phone a couple weeks ago they reccomended me to go for 3200mhz over the 3600mhz version if it's for gaming
Most likely out of stock, best to phone them up to see if they are going to restock it and when. Else the other option can send in your own case buying from say amazon, scan, novatech to send to PCS
Thanks for the info. I hope PCS may add separate Asus option so I can switch srtix 3080 to strix 6800xt for my new PC build
Maybe I'll ask sales team closer to time in regards of availability.
Will we likely get AMD version or aftermarket versions of rx6800 and rx6800xt when it releases on Nov 18th? And if so which brand would it likely to be? Please let there be Asus Strix option available by then.
My guess is other pc companies are in the same boat. I phoned around other shops to see if any 3080 are available to no joy. Same story, out of stock , don't know when next stock comes in and one said that if I preorder todayI may get it on Feb 2021.
The I got my own gpu option for the PCS...
Thanks for the detailed info of vrams.
It looks like a great year for AMD, I look forward to getting into 5900x queue. I'm sure RDNA2 announcement will have a surprise or 2 up their sleeves. As a buisiness point of view I hope RDNA can make a big impact on sales against the rtx30 series as it...
