Thanks for the info. I have the 5900X build too, just waiting on GPU which is RX6800XT. Been looking around for gpu from other retailers, only a few choices of 3090 in stock PNY, KFA2 and Gigabyte around £1600 to £1700. Too expensive for me.

I saw a PNY RTX 3090 in stock on scan today for £1699. Maybe an option to speed up PC build. Personally I would of preferred to get G9 on black Friday deal paired with rx 6800xt(PCS build) and it may still work out a bit cheaper.

If we are lucky PCS may get some supplies of RX 6800XT sometime this week. I spoke to the sales team the other day and they think it might be the XFX cards. (to be honest all 3 brands looks impressive with a little more beefy cooling then the reference ones)

No problem. Unfortunately it may be longer wait then the regular 3080 cards (Palit, Zotac and Gigabyte varieties) but it looks like more of them coming steadily on the way.

The chances are like the rtx3090 the 6900xt may be made in lesser quantaies compared to 6800xt and rumors are that the aftermarket 6900xt won't be available until sonetime in January

When I spoke to sales team they did said that I increased my chances of getting my PC build quicker by switching from asus 3080 to rx 6800x. But obviously it depends if they will get enough units of AMD stuff in stock this month

If you are with nvidia rtx 3000 series gpu maybe it would be a good idea look out for monitors with gsync support. Something like G7 offers gsync

G9 Def too pricey for me to comfotably consider buying it, plus no free sync support for rx6800xt (I think) and it would barely fit on my desk and I would in theory have to relegate my pc rig to the floor which I rather not. iiyama red eagle flat 34 inch is plenty for me

The reference card is in theory out today, but the PCS staff did tell me that they usually don't sell the reference card with the custum builds. The aftermarket 6800xt are supposed to be available next week or so. With the previous gen navi gpu they were getting Sapphire or XFX brands, so...
