OK, that's just what I wanted to know.
There's nothing wrong with my old pc, I'm giving it to my brother when my new one arrives and all I wanted to do is reset it for him but leave all the bios settings as they are.
If I reset the pc using the windows reset option, does this reset any changes I've saved in the bios, for example any fan profiles / xmp etc.
Or is that left as is and it's just the desktop that's returns to the factory state?
Have you contacted PCS to see what the stock situation is with the 6700xt is. It just might be that all builds are taking a little longer than normal due to overall demand
That's not how it works as far as I'm aware, it goes on date ordered, so if you change your card and they have stock then you'll keep your place in the queue.
It doesn't reset the clock if you swap parts.
If I'm wrong then someone correct me please but thats how I understand their queuing process.
The cpu as its got 2 more cores so just building in some redundancy in case games start utilising more cores although tbh 6 cores is absolutely fine at the moment and the 5600x is probably the more sensible choice in terms of price to performance.
The cooler, well 2 reasons, the 5800x runs...
As there aren't many threads about it thought I'd start one.
My build is on day 15 of pre production and I'm beginning to wonder which 3070ti will probably come with the build.
I know it's kinda random, amd depends on what PCS have in stock at the time.. But thought it might be fun to see...
Yea, so Im sitting on day 15 of pre production and was hoping it would go into build soon... But maybe I have a longer wait then if @Samiplops post is correct. Ah well, more thumb twiddling I guess ๐
Yea... Thought that was how I read it. I know it's a little more expensive but having a case the a type c port and no use for it seems a waste so I'll stick with the strix and at least have a working port.
Thanks for clarifying.
So unless I'm not reading things correctly the TUF 570 doesn't have a type C front header, if thats so I'm gonna stick with the styrix 570.
Don't suppose anyone on the forums has this board and can either confirm or deny this?
Cheers chaps... I'll check the type c header on the TUF and if so I'll change that out as well.
Thanks for the final check.. Now to just sit back and chew the finger nails til it arrives. ๐
