I have been reading around about RLECVIEWER and it seems that its probably not a safe option long term. Refer to this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/rlecviewer-custom-clevo-fan-control.818858/
Ignore what I said earlier. Turns out CCC wasnt fully uninstalled from my system thats why I was still able to use the utility. It was only the interfaces that were removed, not the actual software. After a clean uninstall it doesn't work anymore
Also another quick observation, I was able to uninstall CCC without removing the fan or LED control utility, you can just get the specific utility through Microsoft Store
According to the manual and info from other resellers it is. It is a shame PC's do not offer that option, they might have a reason for this tho. Ill PM you the link to a thread which lists the compatible 3200Mhz ram sticks. All the compatible 3200Mhz sticks seem to be CL22
Its possible that you got really unlucky with your CPU silicon. I could be wrong about this but I read somewhere that to get lucky with the higher end Ryzen 3900+ CPUs you need to have two decent CCD to get lucky with the silicon. Have you thought about manually OCing each CCD through Ryzen...
Are using a cooler? I wrote a review about my findings yesterday. I found out that the CPU fan on this laptop gets suffocated unless the laptop is significantly lifted up. I initially used two books to lift the back up by 5cm and my fan was still struggling to suck enough air. Now I am using an...
Thanks for all the help! Hope this review helps other as well, and I will contact PCS about the fan issues. The obsidian fan control tool allows users to choose how quickly the fans to ramp up. Its a shame CCC does not offer that. Also regarding the BIOS update, I managed to fix my issues before...
This as much in-depth as I can do, I tried to go through everything and I will update if I have any new findings.
About 6 weeks ago I received my Nova laptop and so far I have been extremely pleased with it. The performance is fantastic, it offers the cheapest RTX 2070 non max Q configuration I...
I have the same card and I also had the same error when I was installing my Nvidia drivers on my Nova laptop. Turns out Nvidia releases 2 kinds of drivers, the DCH and the non-DCH(they might have another name). Anyway, they are the same driver with the only difference that the DCH ones do not...
That makes sense, I wouldn't imagine they would encourage BIOS updates. I am waiting for them to get back to me, Ill keep chasing this and see what they say!
Hey @SpyderTracks I finally got a reply today. I think me and the PC'S representative are on the same page about what I was asking. The answer still seems to be that I wont be covered by Warranty. I am attaching the reply I got.
I am a bit disappointed to be honest.
Another update:
I opened up my laptop today for an inspection and a repaste. First of all I realized that 1 CPU & 1 GPU screw were not properly tightened and I also thought the PC'S paste job was not to great. I repasted with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and my CPU temperatures now seem to be a...
The manual states that they are indeed supported. Also another reseller have announced that it is supported but I am not sure said reseller sells precisely the same model as PCS do( All specs are identical but there are a few clevo models that bare these specs) . Also from what I understand not...
I have done pretty much everything software side and I will be repasting now. I understand that BIOS updates are kinda the last thing to do but any kind of optimization is welcome, especially since this model is pretty new and unique. I have asked PCS if my Ryzen 3600 would benefit from the...
Thank you! After 50 minutes on queue I managed to get through. They asked me to write an email requesting the bios update and I was also warned about the possible risks of updating the bios. Would I be covered by my warranty if things went wrong?( given that I follow their instructions) Im...
