Even the IOPS are reading mutliples of what Samsung say themselves for the 870.
I know it's a silly question, but are you sure you actually have an 870 QVO installed? Either Magician is misreading the model, or the speed, or both. But it's certainly not correct either way.
Try something...
I was wondering if it was a typo in the OP's post when I saw the speeds for the 870 QVO!!
When it comes to the 980 PRO 6,500 is not that far off it's rated speed of 7k - and there a multitude of reasons why it might not perform exactly as advertised. A installed performance 5-10% less than it...
Yes. It's just saying that you're drive is in use. Perfectly normal. My primary drive is the same PCS M.2 and flickers whenever anything is being read or written to the C Drive - which is rather a lot of the time!
I think I'm right in saying the M.2 drive is under that grey heatsink below the CPU. The PCS M.2's have a little red light that flashes to indicate drive activity at their top right corner, which would be just about where you are seeing that glow perhaps?
My guess would be that it's just the...
I rang my GP. I explained briefly that I had given up my Blob and am hooking up with the X from now on. Then I asked if they had any experience themselves with pasting - then the line went dead.
An email has come in now suggesting I find an alternative practice. I guess they mean that using the...
I think that's quite true really - using a small amount, but which is enough to be squeezed across the face of the IHS, then it won't make any difference what pattern or technique you use for the most part. But I also can see @Scott 's point too. Specific circumstances will dictate for...
Good news @WolfSkyTrain ! Glad you found the solution - and thanks for taking the time to post it here for others. (y)
I have also read that CPU-Z can confuse itself sometimes. It seemed weird that it was reading exactly half the base speed of your RAM, and bascially one quarter of the Double...
Sorry to say I can't say antyhing more than there being some incompatability of some sort hiding in the background. You can get your original RAM on aliexpress or ebay without too much trouble I think if you wanted to give that a shot:
Original RAM
Good luck!
RAM timings and settings involve a large number of variables - literally dozens of settings within BIOS. If XMP is enabled it loads all these specs from the info held on the RAM DIMM itself and adjusts everything accordingly. I'd wonder if the suite of settings from your original RAM just don't...
The standard DDR4 voltage is 1.2V. Enabling XMP or DOCP raises that voltage to the more typical 1.35V in order to allow it achieve stability at the rated speed on the box. The second set above is shown this way by Corsair themselves - base reference voltage of 1.2V but tested up to 1.35V and it...
Sounds good.
FWIW, I do think better overall results could be achieved with PBO and the Curve Optimiser. And most likely at a decently lower power draw. But while your lower core count performance would be helpfully bumped you likely wouldn’t see much gain, if any, over the 4.55 GHz all core...
Hi there!
The 5950X operates up to a max boost of 4.9 GHz according to Ryzen. That highest number is a single core boost value only and doesn't indicate the frequency the CPU will operate at when many or all cores are fully tasked. So you'll see 4.9 GHz (actually more like 5.05 or even a little...
I have a Ryzen 5600X and a 4GB Nvidia GTX 1650. My graphics card choice was budget limited of course, but was ultimately perfectly adequate for what I really needed it for which was Photoshop and Lightroom in particular.
I can play FS 2020 with it - however with middle of the road to lower end...
Love it!
Also, I can use that to blame everyone else for ruining my intelligence when they enter the room. "The only people in here were experts - until you arrived!  "
