Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if this is due to Cold War being quite unoptimised, my setup sometimes drops down to 50fps compared to the usual 150-180fps. Are you noticing a drop in any other games or just Cold War? I noticed a new driver update was released today, try download this and see...
It's a great game, especially to get whilst it's on sale! Surprisingly it's quite demanding if you want it on the highest settings, but definitely a good purchase :)
Honestly wasn't sure which section to post this in, but I reckon it would be preeeetty cool to see a collab here! Would love to be able to build PC's in the PCSpecialist warehouse ;)
So uh...how do we make this happen? 👀
Would the cooling be fine as it is or should I add more fans onto it? If the 3080Ti is rumoured to come out around the end of May then I have plenty of time for adjustments, so no rush!
I can wait for the 3080Ti, got a while to be thinking about it yet :) would you say everything else seems reasonable?
Edit: Would it be even more worth it going for the ASUS version or just keep it at the basic version when released?
Waiting for it too ;)
This sure would be a monster! 🤯 I've set £4500 as my budget, just so there *hopefully* really isn't holdback on anything - anything cheaper would be a win :) Do we happen to know what brand of 3090 it would be? Would getting the extra case fans also be worth it?
Anything cheaper than £4500 is a win, if it saves money! I'm looking at the CROSSHAIR VIII HERO WIFI due to the extra USB slots on here - would it be worth swapping this out?
So I recently made a post that I'd be wanting to upgrade to a 3090 at some point and was advised to go for the 3080 instead, which is fine by me. I'd also need to upgrade my PSU and also my case for better airflow, which is fine.
HOWEVER, today I've received a very pretty looking email from my...
Alright thanks for the info! Do you have any particular case you're a fan of, that could cope with the heat? I don't mind the price if it's definitely going to help out with the cooling
Will have to do some saving up for a 4K 144Hz then! 😅 I currently have the Lian-Li Lancool II, I'll definitely need an upgrade on the PSU so I'm thinking of maybe a 1000W PSU when I do the upgrade. Would you say the case needs upgrading too?
When I was planning on going for the 3090 I was planning on going for a 4K 120Hz monitor alongside it. I currently have a 1440p 165Hz monitor and a 4K 60Hz monitor so it's fine for now. Would my current 10700K be fine with a 3080Ti in terms of bottlenecking?
Had my PC for about a year now, got a 2070 Super and it's running good! However, in a year or so when hopefully the shortages get...shorter...I'll be looking to sell the 2070 Super and upgrade to the 3090.
Now, my question is, is it looking likely for something better than the 3090 to be coming...
Installed the new cooler today, so far I think the temps are good! Idling between 30-35c with multiple tabs of Chrome open compared to the 60-70c MINIMUM from before! RGB is cool too... ;) Thanks for the help!
Hey guys :) Just an update, looks like my new cooler is going to be arriving tomorrow so that'll be a fun experience connecting it up. However I've been thinking about swapping out the stock fans whilst I'm doing this upgrade (2 at the front, 1 exhaust). Is it worth doing for that RGB or are...
I wish I could, I use it to work from home permanently now :( I do 11 hour night shifts and start again tomorrow night, so I'll just try to keep the workload small until I get it. Hopefully arrives sooner than its estimated delivery date!
Thanks for the help!
Alright perfect, got this ordered and is due on the 29th March :) Fingers crossed my current AIO doesn't give in...
What's the best way to dispose of the current AIO? Or do you recommend keeping it in storage just in case?
