First test didn't help. I loaded BIOS defaults and there was no change. I could note that the touchpad didn't work in the BIOS setup utility either. And when I think about it, I don't think I ever flashed the BIOS since there is no upgrade available for my model. I will attach a picture of BIOS...
Luckily I have a cloned drive, since I installed a new drive a few days ago, using AOMEI Backupper instead of Macrium. So there is room for not overwriting my current system. But this issue goes back a few months, so the new drive is unrelated. Like I said, as soon as I can find time to test it...
Sounds reasonable. I only flashed the BIOS once after I got my computer, and that was with the download files I got from PCSpecialist or perhaps downloaded from Clevo for my model. The only setting i ever changed is the boot order. But I will check the version and load the default settings...
I don't know if this helps, but it is confusing to me. How could it possibly be a power failure when the finger print reader that is physically a part of the touchpad, works just fine?
OK, but the only DEV & VEN numbers showing is the parent reference, which is the serialIO driver.
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A368&SUBSYS_95E61558&REV_10\3&11583659&0&A8
This could also be the value you need, since it is located in the registry ACPI entry named SYNA1201 (no leading underscore) as...
Only Windows Defender. I am pretty careful and never run any untrusted software. I haven't reset the computer. Updates are only from Windows update and updated drivers from Clevo. However, since the problem occurred I've tried a few things, like rolling back the drivers for SerialIO and...
Alright, here you go. I have added a 1TB M.2 drive myself, but the issue precedes that.

Thanks for the info, mate. I didn't know that. That's quite handy. This time I was disloyal and shopped my disc from another dealer. But it is within specs and it shouldn't be a problem.
I think that is actually described in the manual you got with it. Otherwise I believe I have seen some guide on YouTube or notebookcheck.com. I will get an extra 1 TB M.2 in the coming week that I will plug in. Maybe I can be of help when I've done it.
Thanks for the tip, but I already read about that too, and there were upper or lower filters to begin with.
The most frusttrating thing about this, is that it must just be some driver and Windows 10 combination that causes this. Probably some erroneous .inf file is causing it, so sending the...
All hotkeys are working as they should, including this one, insofar as showing "Touch pad on" and "Touch pad off" when toggling. I can also tell you that I have spent hours googling for a solution, testing many different tips. On forums for HP, Lenovo, Dell, Acer, Asus etc, they have threads...
I am having the same issue. It's not a huge issue since I always use an external mouse anyway, but it is annoying and the link above isn't very helpful since it doesn't even show up in Device Manager. Have you managed to solve the problem lately?
