PCSPECIALIST Very Unsatisfactory End to an Exciting F1 Season

I know that what you feel is the case - but that interpretation would be untenable for a variety of reasons. That makes it unlikely to be easily defended. OK - fine, let's call it my interpretation so. But you also have your interpretation Barlew. So back off a little bit perhaps? Nobody here...

Careful Martin! Don't get me started on cycling! 😃 :ROFLMAO:

PCSPECIALIST Very Unsatisfactory End to an Exciting F1 Season

The claim of using the race directors authority to supercede all other related rules sounds reasonable in principle, but in practice it is utterly untenable. The Director can't make things up as he sees fit or the entire system falls apart. The decision that 48.13 supercedes 48.12 is also...

PCSPECIALIST Very Unsatisfactory End to an Exciting F1 Season

I won't add too much extra to the debate here - but suffice to say: Masi needs to be sacked, plain and simple. I am a Lewis fan and feel he was mugged really, but I also feel for Max as there will be a cloud over his first Championship because of how things have been handled - not just in Abu...

PCSPECIALIST My horrendous PC Specialist experience

You're absolutely right. They do get it right on the overwhelming majority of cases. You have been unlucky and I'm sorry to hear it's been a bad experience for you. I do think our modern world is worse than ever at metering expectations sometimes. We are so used to click and receive these days...

    PCSPECIALIST Pc condensation from transit

The best thing for anyone else who might be waiting for their delivery is: Don't even open the box when it arrives if you can avoid it. Give the whole thing a good half day to come up to room temperature before you open it. That will prevent any condensation building up in the first place. So...

    PCSPECIALIST Slow M.2?

Ah brillo - so it's taken an element of RAM speed in the mix then? That would explain a lot! (y)

    PCSPECIALIST Slow M.2?

Yes but CrystalDiskMark is even further off the mark on the last image there.....

    PCSPECIALIST Slow M.2?

What's the capacity of your 870 QVO? It shows as 3.3 GB there? I think it might be testing multiple drives at the same time possibly.....

    PCSPECIALIST Slow M.2?

Wow! Impossible speeds there! Something funny going on for sure!!

    PCSPECIALIST Slow M.2?

Even the IOPS are reading mutliples of what Samsung say themselves for the 870. I know it's a silly question, but are you sure you actually have an 870 QVO installed? Either Magician is misreading the model, or the speed, or both. But it's certainly not correct either way. Try something...

    PCSPECIALIST Slow M.2?

I was wondering if it was a typo in the OP's post when I saw the speeds for the 870 QVO!! When it comes to the 980 PRO 6,500 is not that far off it's rated speed of 7k - and there a multitude of reasons why it might not perform exactly as advertised. A installed performance 5-10% less than it...

    PCSPECIALIST Red Flashing Light

Yes. It's just saying that you're drive is in use. Perfectly normal. My primary drive is the same PCS M.2 and flickers whenever anything is being read or written to the C Drive - which is rather a lot of the time!

    PCSPECIALIST Red Flashing Light

This is my M.2 for reference - my second one so in a different location to yours..... I think this is what you're seeing under the heatsink. (y)

    PCSPECIALIST Red Flashing Light

I think I'm right in saying the M.2 drive is under that grey heatsink below the CPU. The PCS M.2's have a little red light that flashes to indicate drive activity at their top right corner, which would be just about where you are seeing that glow perhaps? My guess would be that it's just the...

    PCSPECIALIST How Do You Paste?

I rang my GP. I explained briefly that I had given up my Blob and am hooking up with the X from now on. Then I asked if they had any experience themselves with pasting - then the line went dead. An email has come in now suggesting I find an alternative practice. I guess they mean that using the...

    PCSPECIALIST How Do You Paste?

I think that's quite true really - using a small amount, but which is enough to be squeezed across the face of the IHS, then it won't make any difference what pattern or technique you use for the most part. But I also can see @Scott 's point too. Specific circumstances will dictate for...

PCSPECIALIST Solved. Corsair DDR4 2666MHz DRAM Frequency reported as 665.1 MHz in CPU-Z?

Good news @WolfSkyTrain ! Glad you found the solution - and thanks for taking the time to post it here for others. (y) I have also read that CPU-Z can confuse itself sometimes. It seemed weird that it was reading exactly half the base speed of your RAM, and bascially one quarter of the Double...

    PCSPECIALIST Ram woes

Sorry to say I can't say antyhing more than there being some incompatability of some sort hiding in the background. You can get your original RAM on aliexpress or ebay without too much trouble I think if you wanted to give that a shot: Original RAM Good luck!

PCSPECIALIST Costs, tax, customs, etc for delivery to Ireland

I was lucky and was only waiting three days total - but at the same time others were waiting weeks in some cases.
