Is Guardians available? I'm looking for something new to play. Just ran through Arkham Asylum & City. Not feeling going through Knight again. GF is playing Hogwarts Legacy so I'm needing a story :D
I would be very surprised if the games, even with insane mods, used 32GB, never mind 64GB. There's no down side other than cost of course, but it's a fair chunk of change to throw at it.
Above advice is sound, I would definitely stick with the 1200w PSU though... not for the 1200w but for the...
You'll want to wait till later in the year when you've got the monitor. Spending 1440p money on a 1080p system only to have it out of date by the time you change the monitor doesn't make any fiscal sense.
The next generation of GPUs is rumoured to release before the end of the year. One date...
If it's just for gaming the 14600K would be the least problematic offering while still offering good performance. If it's for higher end multi-threaded applications then you may be better with the likes of the 14900, rather than the K model. You just need the voltages toned down a bit, which a...
Even the elite don't get a benefit from 360hz. It's all snake oil I'm afraid. If the features surrounding the monitor are as good/better than a more standard monitor then it's definitely a no brainer to just take all the frequency you can get. When you're paying more for more frequency and...
From the spec posted by @FigmentOfYourImagination, the change to the 4070Ti Super and case is fine but the rest of the changes you have made make the build worse.
Great build. Some slight changes that I would consider below. It's a bit more money but I'll attempt to justify the reasoning.
The ProArt creator motherboard costs a bomb but it has USB4.0 on-board which uses a TB4 compatible chip. Requires a little BIOS configuration but you could ask PCS to...
Timing is the key with everything. You want to only purchase the GPU if you're looking to upgrade the Monitor imminently. There are new GPUs due to be realised in the coming months, rumour is the end of this month for the first wave (high end). These GPUs will perform better for the same price...
Such a shame that your thread for advice was missed. It happens from time to time as there are busy months and quiet periods. Please feel free to bump up a thread when not getting a response after a day or so. We would have helped design a very different system that wouldn't have been Intel...
5800X is recommended as well for the same level of performance. 9700k won't be that far off, especially when considering how much it costs to change the system.
I don't believe it's a particularly FPS centric game though, even hitting 30 would give a good experience I imagine, I've not played...
If you absolutely must have a new shiny shiny then below is where I would tend to aim. I agree that upgrading is the best value and the whole reasoning behind getting a good platform to begin with, but I also understand what it feels like to want the latest and greatest for no reason other than...
If your PSU is up to the challenge I would argue the 9700K would be good enough for gaming for a number of years to come. You just need to upgrade the GPU. You're not going to get bottlenecking over 1080p with it, not at any sensible FPS.
With that in mind I would use the money to get a decent...
It's worth noting that the 850w PSU won't be enough for a 4090. In fact I would argue it's not enough for your current GPU of choice. With transient spikes etc in mind it should be at least 1000w but I would want an ATX3 PSU in such a system. It's a shame you never asked here before purchasing...
It's running well but it is low on the GPU. I had similar behaviour with mine on the Firestrike test.
Try this and then re-run.....
Click Start, Type Control Panel, Click on Control Panel
Click the little arrow next to Control Panel at the top then click "Show All Items"
Select "Power Options"...
Your RAM is now sitting at 6400Mhz. Not sure why it would be different to the previous runs. That would suggest the issue to me. The CPU still appears to be performing well, the temps spiked a bit more but the avg frequency was still pretty good.
When rebooting the PC if you hit Del it should...
A buildable AIO is an interesting concept. I don't think there would be much market for it though. The most difficult aspect would be the change of monitor technology. Would likely be fine for professional uses as you tend to spend correctly once in that space, in the gaming space though it's...
Family friendly forum so I've edited your post, please keep in mind :)
I had a quick google with that there. Apparently there's a "Replay" feature in the Adrenaline software. If you switch that off it may solve the issue. If it doesn't, XMP needs dropped to 6000 IMO.
