Thanks Paul, I have just changed the RAM and I don't know if the frequency is as it should be. I'll attach photo from CPU-Z.
I have installed the second SSD once I bought the machine.
Just order (2x32GB) Corsair RAM and will see how that will change performance. I have checked in CPU-Z the current RAM frequency and in the D-RAM section it says 2396, which doesn't seem good I guess.
Thanks for the reply.
So a better choice will be to buy another piece of 32GB of RAM and also a water cooler.
By the way I don't have Norton on the PC, since I ordered it w/o pre-installed OS.
I see it now, how the CPU throttles to about 3,2 gHz, which is kinda weird.
I couldn't understand...
Hello, I need help with building my first PC. I was using laptops till now, but now I decided to build a PC.
I do have the following parts:
Amd 7950X 4.5 Ghz CPU.
Asus X670E Gene M-ATX motherboard.
Corsair XC7 Waterblock already attached to the CPU
32GB (2x16) Gskill Trident Z Ram...
Yeah make sense, never had a PC and i think of the case that it is something fancy for gamers.
For rendering i agree that the GPU takes a hit, but It also depends on what are you doing, what kind of effects are used as @Bigfoot says.
Haven't thought about that. Also seeing the prices of GPU's...
Thanks for the corrections, appreciate it. I have got some questions. As i have done some video editing on a laptop i can say that Adobe apps are not using the GPU that much, therefore isn't it better to change the RTX3060 for GTX1660 or 1660TI and get a better CPU such as 5900X or 5950X...
Hello, as mentioned above i am looking to build video editing and audio producing workstation in the price range of £1500 ∓ £200. It will be used for 4K video editing mainly Premiere Pro, a little bit of After Effects and Audio editing software. Below you can see what i have ''managed'' to build...
Thanks for that reply. Yeah i have watched tons of videos on youtube about the new M1 and all i can say is SHOCK! It is really impressive especially battery life and performance. I can't imagine unplug my laptop and use it for heavy editing or gameplay.
Yeah, that's true. Okay i do not know if this is off topic, but let me ask you this, do you guys think that the new Apple M1 Macs can be compared with that kind of machine?
Just about the ask you that question. I have never built a PC myself i always use laptops that's why i asked here. Yeah i was thinking aswell about the 3060 atleast. I would have never thought to change the case as i always thought that the case is just a case, such a stupid thinking :D. Didn't...
Would you please tell me what you didn't like in the previous configuration? Also about the graphic card, do you think that it is good enough for 4K video editing and so on?
Okay, so basically my friend received a configuration from PC Specialist and it looks like this:
He asked me what would you change if i spend £500 more? That configuration is £1,548.00.
Thank you!
