Still no really luck with this problem of going straight to the BIOS from power on. I can 'save and restart' a few times (could be 2, could be 10) and it magically boots into Windows. I don't get it. Nothing was changed to instigate this behaviour as far as I'm concerned.

Control centre is installed and does work - in that changing the settings does have an observable effect.

I would love to know what this extra Windows configuration is? Anyone?
