I was just on yt watching some video and thats about it. What would lead to cause Windows corruption?

Basically, was using my pc at the time and everything just suddenly shut down. Our house's electricity just ran out. I'm using a surge protector and I'm just wondering if my PC is going to be affected in anyways.

I have the ASUS® PRIME B450-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.1, 6Gb/s) - RGB Ready! motherboard and when the PC turns off, the light inside the motherboard is still flashing. Is that the RGB thing that comes along with it and is there a way to turn it off when the pc turns off and turn it on when the pc is on...

Ahhhh so is extension lead pretty much the same thing as a surge protector?

As it says in the title, is it nessecary to use a surge protector for a desktop pc?

Should I connect to internet after the initial boot up or should I connect during the boot up? Asking this because on some videos I saw that connecting to internet will sync some info across devices and might wipe some existing files. They always connect after the initial boot up.

Also, after the boot, is there a need to install all the updated drivers or is all the drivers up to date already?

Hi, I've ordered my new pc a few days ago. It is my first proper desktop pc. I'm lost on what to do once I get it. Should I connect the monitor to it straight away and boot up? But the monitor is brand new as well so what happens then? After that, is there anything else I need to do? Thank you.

What would you mean by dropping the hard drive? Would the pc still run fine without it?
