    PCSPECIALIST Point & Click games

I never got into the third one, I hadn't yet fallen in love with the City Watch (I very much have now) and I missed Rincewind too much :P Think I will have to find a decent abandonware version now. Another old Lucas game that I loved was Sam & Max Hit the Road. I was 10 when it first came out...

    PCSPECIALIST Point & Click games

I'd definitely love to hear more recs if you ever get the chance, can't have too many point & clicks. Once I get my PC I'm going to look into how to get the old Discworld games, they were my absolute favourites and the 'logic' was mad enough that I've definitely forgotten the solutions!

    PCSPECIALIST Point & Click games

I absolutely loved Thimbleweed Park - definitely recommend, especially if you're a fan of X-Files, Twin Peaks and/or being nostalgic about LucasArts!

PCSPECIALIST Just ordered a gaming desktop - is there anything I should change?

Sorry, just one more question! @SpyderTracks I saw in another thread you recommended the AOC Q27G3XMN monitor. Would it be a decent option for my build, shown in Ekans' post above? I've bought it this morning but can cancel if it's not - it suits my budget though which is good!

PCSPECIALIST Just ordered a gaming desktop - is there anything I should change?

Thank you for this! Just so I'm clear, are the extra fans completely optional or will I need some, just not necessarily the Corsair ones? I think I'll get them anyway; I've remembered I have a Windows key I can transfer so I don't mind putting that saving towards aesthetics, I just want to make...

PCSPECIALIST Just ordered a gaming desktop - is there anything I should change?

Hi, I've just ordered the below spec. The computer will be used for gaming; the type of games I play are Microsoft Flight Simulator, Sims 4, modded Skyrim and Cities: Skylines. I wanted a white unit that is relatively compact and can sit on my desk. This spec costs £2,082 inc. VAT, and I can...

    PCSPECIALIST Upgrading RAM question

Hi, Way back in 2012 I bought a PC Specialist desktop and now I'm looking to update the computer a bit; I don't need anything cutting-edge but I thought a couple of upgrades would be useful for playing a few newer games. I went to the Upgrade section of the PCS site and it allows me to upgrade...

PCSPECIALIST Lafite II for a portable laptop, to play old games?

Hi, I'm trying to find a laptop to take with me while travelling on trains, so it needs to be light and compact; I'm looking to spend as little as possible, ideally under £500. The laptop will be used for Netflix and playing some old games - I typically play Transport Tycoon, Zeus, old Maxis...

PCSPECIALIST Do I need a better wireless card?

Hi there! I've had my PC Specialist computer for a while now and it's just perfect, except for the wireless element. When I'm home alone my wifi works nice and quickly, but as soon as my flatmate switches his computer on the speed of mine just plummets - for example a game patch I tried to...

    PCSPECIALIST Issue with wireless connection

Hi there, I bought a PCS computer back around November last year, and when I first got it I couldn't get the wireless connection to work, but because I was impatient I just dug out some homeplugs and used those. Now I've moved into a flat share, and I don't feel comfortable using the home...

    PCSPECIALIST Upgrading my order

Hi there, I've made an order but since found I have a bit more available to spend than I thought, so I'm making a few upgrades. Below is what I'm now considering, could anyone advise whether it would be worth me going for the H77 motherboard rather than the H61 (I've upgraded from the i5 3450 to...

PCSPECIALIST (The usual) Gaming PC on a budget

Hi, I'm looking to buy a desktop mostly for plaing WoW and Sims 3. I think I'd rather have a pre/custom-built PC as I've never built one before myself, but if there were big advantages I'd give self-build a bash. I have absolutely nothing so I need everything including OS, mouse, keyboard and...

PCSPECIALIST Gaming computer on a budget - does this look upgradable?

Hi there, I'm looking into buying my first desktop pc (I've always used laptops in the past). It will mainly be used to play World of Warcraft and Sims 3, so I'm looking for something that will run those games decently. Unfortunately I'm on a fairly tight budget, and as I need everything...
