    PCSPECIALIST Counting the days

Do not know of any yet. Hopefully a few open air events with limited numbers may be allowed soon. As things are am happy to settle for a half decent busker.

    PCSPECIALIST Counting the days

Fairly similar for me, I enjoy mixing with people but generally a few, never felt happy in large crowds - that may be a fact in being a Stenhousemuir supporter :) Have missed contact with others though and in some ways a bit odd. Have never been very formal yet have really missed being able to...

    PCSPECIALIST Counting the days

They both sound good, not a disco fan but enjoy any live music. Getting out in the countryside, whether on foot or a bikes is great. I am very lucky with a decent sized garden and living in a village. Really feel for people who have been stuck in a city.

    PCSPECIALIST Counting the days

Less than a month now until some places can re-open. Have booked a nice out of the way countryside site with caravans to rent. Anyone else got plans for a post lock down getaway?

    PCSPECIALIST Chair and Nova

At the moment I am finding it more stale than Ubuntu. There are daily updates but a lot are only a few packages. Nothing has gone wrong in the two months I have used it regularly.

PCSPECIALIST GOOD NEWS: Ionico 17 new BIOS was just sent to me by PCS!

Will do, in fact bucket loads of luck. Think I would prefer going to the dentist to flashing a BIOS:)

PCSPECIALIST What are you driving at the moment?

As both cars had the same registration, thought a picture of one coming the other going would be fun.

    PCSPECIALIST Spec Check

Cubase is Windows and Mac only I believe but if you want to try other stuff then a dual-boot with Ubuntu Studio is a good idea, its low latency kernel is much better for Music production. There is a load of good free and open source software about, Ardour is a professionally used DAW and one...

PCSPECIALIST What are you driving at the moment?

If pushed I would risk 310-320 in Summer and drop that by 20 miles in Winter, although will monitor it over next few months and may change. Interestingly, some of the mileage increases are not battery but software related, so could see an increase as the ID.3 is still quite a new model. My...

PCSPECIALIST What are you driving at the moment?

A bit of learning curve as quite different to the Hyundai but got the important thing working, the sound system. Got a miniature 256 GB thumb drive, enough sounds on that for a few trips to Scotland and back. If roads clear can do both legs before Wagner's Ring has finished.

PCSPECIALIST What are you driving at the moment?

One thing you notice in an EV is the drop in mileage during the winter, about 20 miles a charge on the Hyundai. For icey mornings it is great having it plugged in and running the air con from the app, windows clear and car warm when I get in. This one is supposed to do 336 miles on a full...

    PCSPECIALIST Bread

A simple but very enjoyable breakfast today. My mushroom bread toasted and topped with scrambled egg. Next step will be to get some more truffles. I love truffle scrambled egg with smoked salmon. Usually have granary bread toasted with that but will try with the mushroom bread this time.

PCSPECIALIST What are you driving at the moment?

Just picked up my ID.3, first impressions very good, nice driving position and very comfy. Luckily got a holiday in Devon booked first day campsites re-open so can give it a good run.

    PCSPECIALIST One-liners

Brilliant, reminded me of this one. The only certain way to beat a bookmaker is with a big stick.

    PCSPECIALIST Intel 665 SSD

I do not have experience of that drive but it is only the Intel that are poor. The best is the Samsung but quite pricey as well.

    PCSPECIALIST Intel 665 SSD

Not sure but would advise a change as the Intel drives do not last as long as others.

    PCSPECIALIST Homemade Chilli

I like doing a fairly dry mix of of onions, mushrooms and spices with mince, then finishing it by mixing in cooked Basmati rice and frying it in a wok for a few minutes. A veggie version with diced Holloumi instead of mince is nice as well.
