    PCSPECIALIST 5950x vs 12900k Dilemma

Hi All, I'm just hoping for some advice and thoughts on this subject. I recently ordered a 5950x build which is still in pre-production but due to enter the building stage sometime next week. I ordered it before the performance of Intel chip had been reported and I don't think that it was even...

PCSPECIALIST Spyder’s Vinyl Showcase (With Added Toe)

I had a pretty serious Prince collection at one point (mixture of Vinyl and CD, official and "unofficial"), but I gave most of it to my younger sister and much of it got water damaged when she stored it in her garage. We’re speaking again now. The deluxe editions released since his death...

PCSPECIALIST RTX3070 & RTX3080 obsolete after just over a year.................

Looks like the worst possible time to have ordered my new build... yet again :ROFLMAO: (with the Ryzen refresh just around the corner as well).

PCSPECIALIST NVidia RTX3000 FE 12 PIN Connector actually official PCIe 5.0 connector

Yes, I'm glad I went for 1000w for my recent order too. The online form warned me that I only needed 750w. :)

PCSPECIALIST NVidia RTX3000 FE 12 PIN Connector actually official PCIe 5.0 connector

I've never been a fan of Apple, but that's one good thing about their M1 tech. My PC power usage is probably my main environmental sin! (I don't drive etc)

    PCSPECIALIST Dead on arrival😥

My old Lian Li build mentioned above was delivered in a wooden box and still managed to arrive damaged, so it just shows you how roughly these items are treated sometimes.

    PCSPECIALIST Dead on arrival😥

Oh, that’s awful Vajra. I've just ordered a £3.5k build in an Obsidian 500D RGB case, so the fear of something like this happening during delivery is lurking in the back of my mind. The only other time that I ordered from a bespoke builder (I usually self-build) the Lian Li case was damaged and...

PCSPECIALIST Just pulled the trigger on this build

Hi Guys - I went ahead and amended my order according to your advice. It set me back another £156, but if I'm spending this much I may as well get it right. I'll just have to forgo everything else for the next 6 months :ROFLMAO: , which thankfully will be much easier with a machine like this to...

PCSPECIALIST Just pulled the trigger on this build

Sorry about my ignorance Scott, but how do I share the configuration? A link to my order page? I just followed the "post to forum" link after placing the order and was given instructions to just copy-and-paste my configuration here.

PCSPECIALIST Just pulled the trigger on this build

Yes, you and SpyderTracks may be right about the Ram. I've been running out baking scenes in Unreal on my current PC, but that's only 16gb. I have a 500gb m.2 for my OS and main work apps currently, and I'm really struggling - I use a tonne of software. Currently sitting at 20gb spare on my C...

PCSPECIALIST Just pulled the trigger on this build

I haven't spoke to anyone at PCS since placing my order, but I guess there's the possibility of tweaking the build. I should have run it past you guys beforehand.

PCSPECIALIST Just pulled the trigger on this build

I'm a bit embarrassed, but that's good to hear, thank you! I just have a thing for minimalism. (nice avatar btw - I'm watching Fire Walk With Me as I speak... "the good Dale is in the lodge and he can't leave, write it in your diary." :coffee:)

PCSPECIALIST Just pulled the trigger on this build

Thank you SpyderTracks, that's really helpful. The main reason that I opted for the 3000hz RAM is that it appeared to be the only x2 32gb option, which would allow me space to add another couple of 32gb sticks in the future, taking me to the 128gb max if needed. I would have to opt for x4 16 gb...

PCSPECIALIST Just pulled the trigger on this build

Hi All, I hope that everyone is well. I usually self-build but with the market being what it is at the moment I thought I'd give PCS a try. I'm really impressed with the configuration options so far, it kind of represents the best of both worlds and the prices are very good. I may have chosen a...
