Hooh, OLLMOR, you're getting schooled son. That's a master class for you, for free, in crafting your own computer tower.
Listen to the wise men up above
Yeah you're absolutely right. I'm a sucker for the latest and greatest. Now that you said what you said and I looked around on Virgin Media's forums, the routers are at least 6 months away so it wouldn't make a difference in the end. Not in the near future
I was just reading the announcements on tech news websites for Intel's 9th gen mobile processors and a lot of them also included the news ofIntel AX200 wi-fi cards.
I personally don't think these cards would make much of a difference in general anyway, (ethernet connection is always the most...
If you're gonna go all out might as well get RTX 2080 TI and 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus for M.2 main drive no?
Get the better thermal paste too, it's only £10 extra but hey, every little bit helps.
Memory choice makes sense.
As to the CPU, i've no idea what to say. What even happens, if you're...
Yeah man, give us more detail. What's the spec like, how does it feel to use, loudness of the fans, typing experience etc
Let the people live vicariously through your purchase, even if just for 5 minutes
It's a minor thing but in general, it's definitely better to have your memory in a dual channel mode, so 2x4 is in theory better than 1x8 memory stick. The idea is that you basically double the available memory throughput. Again, it might not improve gaming performance per se, but it provides...
Yeah you're about games loading stuff to RAM and VRAM most of the time. I forgot what I was talking about. SSDs for sure dramatically improve load times, so at least that part is accurate.
Again my lack of electronic circuits knowledge is showing. I know SSDs work at micro-second levels and...
3200MHZ or 3000MHZ is the sweet spot. They technically can be OC'd up to 4000-4200+ MHZ but obviously there is a point of diminishing returns. I guess in your case, get the 2933 MHZ.
Having your OS on the SSD is THE reason for getting an SSD. It gives you way faster boot times, since windows...
AMD processors love faster ram, so get faster one.
Also get half-terabyte ssd as well. Even the cheapest one still is literally 100s or 1000s times more responsive compared to a spinning hard drive. You can keep the OS and most played games and programs on the ssd
Sounds like you could identify what's slowing the startup by examining event viewer logs, diagnostics performance. It'd tell you what services or programs are contributing to the problem. Then you start disabling those services, do a few restarts and that should get you to the source of the problem

No but really, I guess I must have picked the wrong sources to check. But most of the time RTX 2070 should be better than RTX 2060, not sure how that's affected by max-q tradeoffs. RTX 2070 laptop version is already slightly inferior to the...
The price already seems to be signalling the right decision for you. Get the one with RTX 2070, whichever version you get, at least it'll be 8GB VRAM. I'm not a hardware specialist or anything but with RTX 2070 and 2080 you're getting the complete chip, full memory bandwith and all that jazz...
Also 15.6" Proteus VI RTX has a special offer which I can't for the life of me figure out, what it is. Just my observation, not trying to imply anything
Did you not have a good chair before this? It's none of my business but why would anyone get a chair from a custom pc/laptop manufacturer, would you rather not go to a shop and pick one out there yourself, test it, sit on it etc
Phenomenal build by the way. As good as you probably can get...
Hahaha, telling someone someone to calm down over a innocuous matter as if they personally insulted your lineage is just a joke man. Like when you tell your mates to calm their []. No need to get worked up :) It just didn't come off as well in a text.
All right, calm down mate. Updating drivers is not that big of a deal, if something happens, you could simply reinstall the older version, you could use windows restore, worst case scenario, you could nuke windows and install it again from a usb. It won't brick your hardware. Now BIOS/UEFI, I...
Technically for us EU/UK folks it'll be on Monday 2 AM. I never do this but just for this show, for 8 weeks I'm gonna get up at 05:30 to watch it before work. There is no chance I'd be able to concentrate on anything at work, knowing that the episode is out there and I haven't watched it as...
