Howdy folks,
I am currently contemplating replacing my old and slowly dying dell laptop.
This is only used to watch stuff from my NAS drive (streaming/downloading from the NAS) and occasional light web surfing. It doesn't really get used for anything else, requires no program's to be...
PCS folk,
Not sure if you know how many folk use this (or if any do) but I was looking around on the main PCS site this morning and noticed that the 5-step jargon free configurator may need a wee bit of polish. http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/help-me-choose/
The default settings for an extreme...
Guys n Gals
I have some steam codes in my inventory which may or may not be of use to anyone (I'm admittedly not going to the trouble of seeing if there are cheaper deals available... which for a lot of these they undoubtedly will be). However, I'll list them below and if anyone wants them let...

Finally, a chance to share games with family and friends... wait... I don't have any gamers in my family... or any friends :(
Still, it is a step in the right direction!

Watercooler's saviour solution? We should cover every component with this magic stuff!! (I'm not sure if its conductive or not but I suspect not as they did show an iPhone in a beaker of water).
I thought I'd post this as although I saw it on Hexus, I know PCS often supply Palit Cards (not a clue if they'd ever supply this beast though).
I know some people are dead against benchmarking tests because they are biased or whatever but for most people they will give valuable insight into...

So I'm moving into my new house soon and was out shopping at the weekend with the other (better?) half for a bed. Whilst out I popped into Holburn Hi-fi to discuss getting some audio equipment for the house, surround sound system and some wireless type speakers (Sonos for example) to project...

Anyone heard of these? I went to listen to a test set-up using them (a mock 5.1 system using their sound bar, sub and two play:3's). Very impressed, they are prohibitively expensive though (so would have to purchase in stages).
Still, wanted to ask if anyone already...
Didn't want to put this in 'show of PC Specialist PC' section as it isn't a PC Specialist item (although if they can do this kinda thing for some reason... they should!)
Thought I'd post a pic of the new side panel I have for my case. I didn't mod it myself (not skilled enough unfortunately)...
I ran the Metro: Last Light Benchmark utility, all settings max at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Average Results
Average Framerate: 42.67
Max. Framerate: 154.73
Min. Framerate: 5.20
Disappointed with the score to be honest.
Anyone else care to post some scores?
All praise to Kitguru for the pics

I for one am very excited about this, I do like the idea of backlights for TV's/Monitors etc. to help envelop the player/viewer in the action on screen.
Recently I saw a kickstarter campaign for some backlights...

Good first start for anyone wanting to self-build :)
Ladies/Gents/Forum Dwellers who may wish to remain anonymous. I was asked by my dad if I could spec him up a laptop as his current notebook is driving him up the wall (apparently its absolutely atrocious). I asked him the usual questions I see asked on here (budget, uses, must have's etc.) and...
OK, I'm now at my wits end, can't seem to find anything on the internet that describes my issues. Figured I'd post here and hopefully someone can give me some good ideas of things to try before crying to PCS over the phone.
Problems:
Started last weekend (I don't remember exactly what the last...
Hello fine forum folk.
After my PC basically fell over (figuratively not literally) and was crashing every time I opened Steam I was forced to uninstall steam. I'm not sure to blame Aliens Colonial Marines yet or not (it was the game that I installed last. This is (obviously) fairly...
