    PCSPECIALIST New Laptop For Working

Gotcha, thanks. I clocked the secondary SSD, you taught me that when you spec'd my gaming PC at home. Going to get this ordered now before I break up for Christmas. Any last minute advice on m.2 brand?

    PCSPECIALIST New Laptop For Working

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Noise is something that is somewhat important - is it just the Lafite chassis that suffers with this? A final consideration would be that I may want to use Steam Remote Play if I'm working away. Would either of these Laptops be able to handle that? I...

    PCSPECIALIST New Laptop For Working

What a dork! Literally the most important part! Budget is "around £1000" The closer to that, the more palatable it is to get it past finance.

    PCSPECIALIST New Laptop For Working

Hello again, I bought a gaming PC from PCS a couple of years ago, mainly due to solid community advice from everyone here on the forums. I have been offered a laptop for my job; I have requested that I supply my own. My employers are not very tech savvy, and all existing hardware in the office...

PCSPECIALIST Desktop Background Partial Black Screen

Just OT but while you're here... I saw a post from yourself somewhere quite a while ago but I haven't been able to find it again, in it you were talking about recommended graphics settings for games? Was there a website or piece of software that offered recommended settings for your particular...

PCSPECIALIST Desktop Background Partial Black Screen

It seems like the screen alignment is causing the issue. I raised the second monitor so the bottom of both screens are flush (even though that is not how they are in reality) and the black part has vanished. I will monitor it tomorrow but it sounds like this will have sorted it. And yes...

    PCSPECIALIST 5600X RTX 3070 Build

I had been running with all devices connected through their own dongle. I have now tried the opposite, with mouse & keyboard running through a shared dongle. I'm going to give it a little longer but it seems that this has cured the problem. Until I try and connect my headset later on, no...

    PCSPECIALIST 5600X RTX 3070 Build

Cables?! What cables?! @AgentCooper There's a cage attached under the desk to hold the surge protector. All the other wires etc are fastened up out of the way there too. I hate having wires all over the place.

    PCSPECIALIST 5600X RTX 3070 Build

I am using the dongle currently. I did try to connect the mouse using bluetooth as it has that functionality but I couldn't get the PC to find it. I wondered if the PC didn't support Bluetooth 4.0. Either way, I just want it to work properly with the dongle.
