Thanks PCspecialist, for yet another great laptop. This is my 3rd laptop from PCSpecialist and I'm still a very satisfied customer. :)
This is going to replace my desktop which I'm going to turn into a Windows Server 2016 instead, running a plex server hosting perfectly legal stuff

About to submit my order for a Defiance III. Core specs: 7700HQ, GTX1070, 16GB of RAM, Samsung SM961 M.2 Flash Drive.
I see we got 2 options for power supplies: 1x200w and 1x230w. Do we know of any performance impact, or restrictions when only choosing a 200w power supply with a 7700HQ +...
Hey
Going to buy a new gaming laptop soon, do we know when PCspecialist intends to provide builds with 7300hq/7700hq?
I see certain vendors have already announced new kaby-lake laptops. Even though there's probably only going to be a minor increase in performance, I would still be willing to...
There can be a number of reasons for the issue with "This computer is Not running Genuine Windows". The most obvious reason would be that the key that was used, is not a Windows genuine key. Maybe PCS accidentally installed your Windows with a dummy key or something like that, even though it...
Hey there :)
What you are experiencing is what we in the support world call a "No Post/No Video" scenario. There's something that is not getting power or there is a faulty piece of hardware causing the early-POST process to fail. In the old days, you would get very loud beeps from the...
Hello good sir.
While I'm not sure how much exactly you are trying to multi-task on your setup, when these issues is happening, keep in mind that your current hard-drive is very slow. It might be an SSHD, but imo, those drives can really confuse consumers sometimes. They think they are getting...
Like SpyderTracks already suggested, post your full specs :) in the meantime, please provide us with the dump files you have. While you are at it, please configure your system to generate a kernel memory dump as well, since you are getting several different BSoD errors. With minidumps you only...
Seems Samsung wants to challenge Intel's 750 NVMe series with this new M.2 NVMe SSD: http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015/09/samsungs-950-pro-m-2-ssd-pairs-nvme-with-v-nand-for-eye-popping-performance/ The specs are quite awesome! It's also rumored to be much cheaper Pr. GB, than Intel's counterpart.
It's possible your USB is not formatted to support UEFI systems, since it works in legacy mode, but not with UEFI. The tool you used, dunno how it formats your drive. You can get rufus here: https://rufus.akeo.ie/
x79 chipset does not have native support for M.2 drives, and you also have no M.2 slots on your current motherboard. Even if you get an add-in PCIE card to support the M.2, I doubt you will be able to use that drive as an OS drive, as it would not be able to boot from it. You could still install...
Wouldn't be surprised if this was a hotkey issue.. It has always been a dodgy piece of software. If you do a google search for 660M NVIDIA Optimus Windows 10, there's almost no results, so it doesn't seem like other people had any issues with the Optimus system itself. Hotkey is required to...
Hey
If you could provide us with the HardwareID for the device, we can help you locate a driver (If a driver even exists for this webcam for Win10 that works). See this screenshot for reference:
If you can't find it, simply generate a DxDiag for us, and we should be able to fetch it ourselves :)
Hello :) It is not a noobish question when you are in doubt. The connectors your are referring to is the "PCI" that is the ones that connects to your GPU. You would not need to buy seperate cables.
Although the performance increases from Skylake vs the 3 previous generation CPUs in gaming is disappointing, I'm still jumping on the skylake train. I only have my Vortex-3 Laptop now with 7970M and 3740QM, and I miss desktop gaming :)
