Just because the cpu can take those temps doesnt mean the surrounding components can. Its the reason why consoles end up dying due to the excessive heat many of them create. 95c is way too high, i like to keep my temps below 80c for both cpu and gpu. Thanks for the info about how to lower temps...
Where have the 17.3inch versions of this laptop gone? were they found to be defective in some way? they werent there for very long after they finally came up for sale.
Officially the 3060s arent max-q or max-p but clearly they are as the TDP for them varies drastically between laptops anywhere from 80watts to 140watts so although not official its pretty obvious they have max-q and max-p models and nvidias stupid system only causes confusion.
He also couldn't...
I emailed them about this as well and my response was that the 3060 in the elimina was 80w-105w, for the 17.3inch version. Why would the larger version have less power? doesn't make sense.
Iv had this one for about 2 years now and it still functions fine. Its also easy to open to clean the dust off the fans and i sometimes use a quick charge module i got off aliexpress to turn up the voltage to 9 or 12 volts which makes the fans spin much faster and blow a ton more air when im in...
Well that rules that one out for me then.
Common yes but not normal and certainly not good for the longevity of the laptop, high temps for cpu and gpu dont just put the chips themselves at risk but the surrounding components as well. 96c is way too hot and id have sent that back.
Exactly, its also an extra storage slot, 2.5inch ssds are often cheaper than m.2 drives and people often have quite a few old 2.5inch ssds or hdds laying around already.
