Well Windows set up finished. After an hour or two of restarting and messing around with passwords, pins resetting and recovery keys I've got some progress.
The VGA light seems to be gone now after start up. Hdmi through the motherboard works with the GPU plugged in now. When it didn't before...
Ok we have life! Thank you! I didn't realise the GPU needs to be unplugged to default to the motherboard. Kind of obvious when you think about it, but the was exactly what I needed.
Windows updates/initial set up is happening now. So fingers crossed once the set up goes through I can try the...
I don't have one unfortunately. Tired multiple hdmi that I know work, and usb c through the motherboard that also works with my monitor but just black screen in all cases.
