Morning all,
Looking to purchase my 3rd PCSpecialist build. I’m a silly bugger and decided previously to sell/give away my old PC’s after having a baby. Turns out I miss it, much to my wife’s annoyance.
Budget is £1,500-£1,800. Only use will be for gaming. I mainly play Tarkov and will be...
Thanks all, I'll upgrade the BIOS tonight.
What are your thoughts on these upgrades:
CPU: 5800X3D
RAM: 32GB Vengeance DDR4 3600MHZ
GPU: RTX 3080
PSU: Corsair 850RMx Series
Thanks,
Dave
That seems to be the case - I'll have a look at the 5900x. I don't believe my MOBO supports RAM speeds above 3200MHZ.
In all honesty I've been debating purchasing a new PC and leaving this one as a dedicated stream PC, but I'd have to get that past the wife
Morning all,
PSB my current PCSpecialist build that has served me well for the past 3 years.
I'm looking at some upgrades and I'm thinking of upgrading my CPU to the 5800X and increasing RAM from 16 to 32GB DDR4 3200MHZ as I plan to start some casual streaming on Escape From Tarkov.
When...
Thanks Oussebon, I am waiting to see the benchmarks for the 2080super in comparison with the 2070 super. I did toy with the idle of a 2080ti but decided against it.
Would you recommend i get Corsair H100x cooler instead of the standard AMD cpu cooler? From what I have read, the wraith cooler...
Thanks for the reply. Think I'm going to stick with the 2070 super as on a price perspective build will have cost me around 2300 in total inclduding the monitor and can't really justify the extra £200ish for the 2080 super when framerates might only drop under 60fps a bit.
Hi all,
Just looking for some reassurance on the below build before I pull the trigger. Monitor I will be using is the Acer Predator XB271HU 27” 4K.
Will mainly be playing FPS games such as BF5 etc.
Case
FRACTAL FOCUS G BLACK GAMING CASE (Window)
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Eight Core...
Thanks for the advice. I will most likely go with the monitor you mentioned earlier but go for the RTX 2070 super instead of the 2080. Thank you all for your help.
Thank you for the response. I have chosen the standard 2080 as opposed to the 2080ti - would I still need a monitor such as the one you have posted?
How does the rest of the system look? I would upgrade the PSU as recommended.
