Could go for the 5600x, its very powerful but runs cooler and would be cheaper then the 5800x

What games does he mostly play, because atm graphics cards are over priced, you could get a 5700g cpu and no graphics card and save some money, once yoyr son isnt playing the latest at high settings ect

This is definitely your best option, the 5600g will perform amazingly for the games you mentioned. Id 100% go with this
