It is disappointing that PCS appear to be late to the 16:10 screen party.
I asked them when they might update to what it becoming the required norm but was told sometime 2022 perhaps.
I for one will now buy elsewhere. Come on, PCS - join the revolution!
That's really helpful to me, thank you. I am close to deciding to buy exactly what you have there. Have been somewhat worried by comments elsewhere on the Forum about what needs to be done to get software working well - Win 10 for example - did you have any issues? Never bought a laptop this way...
Having returned to a saved quote for a Ultranote 15.5 with Ryzen 7 CPU planning to buy, I find they have removed the quote completely and I cannot repeat my spec even closely.
So spec made for Lafite Pro 15.6 similar but cannot proceed as they say Iris Graphics card not available so choose...
Thanks for your patience Scott!
I video edit with Adobe Prem Elements, and photo edit with Adobe Photoshop.
No gaming or VM or the other stuff you refer to.
My budget is not specific - I expected to pay up to about £1500 for a really good well spec'd machine.
Got caught up in the options...
I went for 32GB RAM because not great price difference above 16GB and that it is better long term to have more than I need rather than less.
I do pretty much everything other than gaming, with a large store of media/high res. photo files and a lot of video stream and download. And Zoom...
So if I understand my options the Nova or Optimus might be better choices? Portability is not an issue and it would spend most time in the house, often plugged in. I can get Ryzen processor on either but the Nova is dearer. How do I decide which toi go for, budget aside? Your guys help is...
This does not allow me any other graphics card option. is there another model that gives me the RAM and drives on my spec but with better graphics? To be fair I find it hard to know what differentiates each of the PCS models !
Think I have finalised my requirement for a fast laptop for all round use and a lot of media storage.
Thoughts welcomed!

Am configuring new laptop and ideally want a Ryzen 7 4800u processor, but PCS site says not in stock and will delay order, but does not say by how much.
Anyone know?
Again, very helpful thanks. If I have understood right, i really just need the one storage and will go for the 1TB Samsung in the 1st M2 SSD drive slot. And the Arctic thermal paste. Correct?
Thank you so much for your reply! Great to have the ability to get such advice. Almost there but..
1. That configuration you suggest has no "1st storage Drive" and no "2nd M2SSD", just the one "1st M2SSD". Is that all I need? Not even a second M2SSD? I read on another thread the suggestion that...
No particular budget constraint but the specs i have tried to configure are in the £1200-1400 range. Could go a bit higher.
Went for 32GB RAM as price extra over 16GB not huge.
Been reading other very helpful posts on here (great forum!) and see the Viper has webcam low down - I also Zoom a lot...
As an older guy not totally au fait with these matters, and confused by the choice available, can someone tell me please what I need?
I want a 17" laptop that will not be taken out of the house, so weight not an issue.
I mainly use for streaming video, watching YouTube video, browsing, email...
