CPU temperatures?

Hi guys. Could anyone advice what i should do with my CPU Temp.. Cpu i use is 3900x

When comp idol. Temp sits around 53c-55c

When i have stuff running in background and i am surfing net or stuff. temp 53c then jumps to 65c

When gaming temp can jump to about 82ish c

CPU Clock is 4566mhz

But in power option > advanced power settings> processor power management > Maximum processor state is 100% and minimum processor state is 100%

But if i change minimum processor state to 1% and maximum processor state to 99%

CPU temp in idol sits around 32c. But when i got stuff running in background and surfing net temp is 42c When gaming temp goes to 55-60c

But cpu clock drops from 4566mhz to 3611mhz

What i am wondering is. Should i lower The minimum processor state to 1% and max to 99% lose out on cpu clock. or will eveything be fine on 100% and get more cpu clock.

Is 1% and 100% not an option?
What i was wondering if, Will it hurt my cpu if i left both at 100% and had high temps.

Because i when i been streaming and gaming same time and had both 100% stream and game plays smooth

When i lower. I been struggling to stream, Getting encoding error, frame drops etc.

What i want to know, would it hurt my cpu on high. are the temps normal that high.

Firstly, what are you using to read temps?

Right done that

Cinebench test

both on 100% and temp runs at 73c

Min 1% Max 99% Temp 59c
Yeah, we'll concentrate on the Ryzen temps as they will be more accurate.

Those temps are looking very healthy.

I wouldn't change the values, leave them as defaults. If there are any thermal issues, then it's related to paste or fan control, both of which need to be addressed at that level rather than nerfing performance.

What are your full specs BTW?

You’ll need to uninstall Bullguard completely, it causes a lot of issues including high cpu usage.

Then have you run through all windows updates?

Also, make sure iCue is installed and that the cooler isn’t set to quiet mode, needs to be higher than that.

1st thing i did was unistalled bullguard. fan 1 and 2 for cpu cooler is both set to quiet and pump balanced. what do you think i should change them to.

Just the next level up, can't remember what it's called. Think "performance" is the highest, but you don't need that, just anything other than quiet as that does compromise heat management. I would bump the pump up one notch also.

Have a play and see where you find it best for noise vs performance.
