Looking to buy gaming rig but not sure what

This is most confusing techinical thing i have come across.. So many things i am clueless about I5 or I7 ?? sigh... duno what difference are basides Price and Solid state drive? what is that for? and do i need..

For gaming an i5 is more than enough, if you are planning to do use more CPU intensive application you could consider the i7. An ssd is not essential, it depends on your budget.

The i5 is the better choice for gaming in my opinion,an SSD will speed up boot times and loading apps,but is not essential

Sorry to jump in your thread but does ssd effect anything other than load times while gaming online/offline?

Id love an ssd but already spending £1000+ so a 1tb caviar black will do for now :)

They are a really easy upgrade you can do yourself. less than 5 minutes of work, and you can pick up a cheap 64 gb boot drive for less than £70

Yeah its definitely an upgrade ill do eventually :)

I should have all the bits I need in 1 or 2 weeks.
Faster than expected and I can't wait to start!

Ive already bought 2 games for the pc (bf3 premium and Alma Alpha) :D
