Xbox One wired controller instead of mouse and keyboard

Hi,

As I have been mainly a console gamer and possibly going to be buying more PC games. How well will a Xbox One wired controller on Windows 10 work compared to the more commonly used mouse and keyboard.

To be honest, I prefer using a controller for gaming instead of a mouse and keyboard.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, please.

Depends how well the individual game supports controller vs KB+M.

Tbh a lot of AAA titles feel like they were designed for controller with KB+M as an afterthought...

Controller will work fine for a lot of titles.

You may find game library UIs easier to navigate with KB+M, though Steam does have a "Big Picture" mode intended for use with controllers (usually on TVs but works fine with monitors too). If you run steam and right click on the system tray icon for steam, you can see the option.
