Would you replace your notebook/desktop with this?

You may have seen this advertised on TV, click on the "accessories" and "webtop" tabs to see the uses this phone has.

It doesn't cater for gamers or prosumers, but for the average joe who wants a basic PC - is this the end of the line for the desktop PC and notebook, and every market associated with it?

Never. as you've said, just the basic average joe's thing to use on the go. could possibly the end of a notebook or tablet replacement but never a full-on laptop or pc.

To be fair, if I was in the market for an average joe PC (and this was the same price) then yes... all the features in the palm of your hand.

BUT if I wanted to do anything more strenuous than watching a movie and web browsing, a desktop/laptop it would be

I'd never replace my laptop for that, it may be good for basics, web browsing/docs/email etc, but i find my HTC Desire Z does that fine. It's nothing special, only thing that stands out is the 4G connectivity!
