Hello im having a problem with my PC after a power cut

My PC obviously cut out during the cut but when we had power again I booted my pc but it will not load windows it just goes straight into the PC Specialist black splash screen. I hear 1 beep when I boot it but it wont go into the windows loading screen. I have tried pressing the CMOS and tried to press F2 to go into BIOS but nothing :/

I have had this before after a power cut and called in and managed to get the pc working again but ive completely forgotten what I had to do to fix the issue and unfortunately PC Specialist are shut all weekend.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Way 1: Disconnect all the external media
Please disconnect all peripheral devices, remove all USB devices and media cards. After that, restart your computer to see if the Windows black screen boot error is solved.

Way 2: Run anti-virus software
Run the latest version of anti-virus software to check if your computer has virus. If there is, remove the virus.

Way 3: Fix corrupted MBR/BCD, partition tables, boot sector, or NTLDR file.

or you could refer to the detailed steps to figure it out: https://www.disk-partition.com/articles/black-screen-on-boot-5740i.html

hope it's helpful.

The BSOD Doctor
It's kinda hard for the OP to run anti-virus software or fix the boot files if it wont boot at all.... :)

Was the PC plugged into a surge protector? If not there is a possibility it's been damaged by a power spike. It's a worry that you can't enter the BIOS setup. Did you try holding F2 down as you power on? You might also try holding down the Del key instead as you boot.

What do you mean when you say 'you pressed the CMOS'? The CMOS is a chip on the board...
