Windows scaling issues on the Lafite I & II?

Calling all current Lafite I & II owners running Windows 10.

Just wondering how you've all managed with the scaling in Windows 10 on this device? I know that as a general rule the OS itself looks ok at most settings (with the exception of some menus still looking blurry), however it's mainly 3rd party applications I'm concerned with, e.g firefox, chrome, etc etc. I've found in testing various devices on Windows 10 with Full HD and above displays, that applications can come across at a good visible size but really blurry, or crisp but so small you can barely see them.

Anyway, just the one question so anyone with any feedback on this, it would be great to know. I've a few options at the moment including the Lafite, but at the moment I'm favouring a well known fruit-related device simply because they don't seem to suffer with the same issues at all. This is quite a big deal for me as I don't think I could cope with it: I want my crisp high-DPI screen to look crisp at a size where I can see everything!

Try setting one scaling level for all your displays. The option is in Settings > Display somewhere, it's a simple checkbox (I'm not running Windows 10 now). That made a big difference to my Optimus IV display.

Windows 10 scaling is a bloody mess. If you right click an application icon that appears blurry, choose properties, select the compatibility tab and check 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings'. This fixes the blurry issue on things like Firefox or anything else that looks odd when scaled.

I use 125% scaling on the Lafite and 100% on my external 23" 1080p monitor but it runs into issues when using both in extended desktop as both are either 100% or 125%, making things too small on the Lafite or too large on the external display. Fine when using one or the other though.

Thanks both.

I found that when I tried this on a windows 10 running laptop (that I ended up returning) that it solved the blurriness issue, but simply caused everything to be tiny by default. You then had to go into the applications settings to try and make text etc readable.

All a bit of a hassle quite frankly. Apple (can we mention their name round these parts?!) seem to be winning out for me right now.

It's fine if you disable it and use 125% scaling. You can't go wrong with a Macbook Pro other than damage to the wallet. I was going to get one myself until I found the Lafite.

Thanks. I have a friend who works for Apple who can get me 17% off which will help a great deal with the wallet issue. This is somewhat swaying my decision I think.
