Windows is not ACPI Compliant

I am getting this blue screen error when playing Lord of the Rings online. It seems to be the only game I am playing that causes this? Does someone have an idea how to fix.

Additionally, I was trying to find the place on Clevo's website where they publish BIOS updates to see if I have the latest version. Can someone direct me to it?

Thanks

Well........you've chosen a strange title for your thread, I suspect that's not helping you.

By "blue screen error" do you mean a BSOD? If so what Stop Code are you getting? Is there anything useful in the Windows Error Log?

Are you sure you have all the latest drivers installed? When you open Device Manager does anything have a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it?

Some things you might want to do are:

1. Open a command prompt and enter "chkdsk /f" (without the quotes). When you get the message about performing a disk check at the next boot reply Yes and then reboot. This will check to see whether you have any filesystem or disk errors.

2. Open a command prompt and enter "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes). This will take a while to run, check that there are no errors at the end. This will check (and may correct) your critical Windows system files.

3. Test your RAM. The best way to do this is to download Memtest, extract the ISO, burn it to a CD and then boot the CD. Memtest will begin running immediately, leave it running overnight. If there are any errors in the morning test each RAM card individually.

AFAIK Clevo only make BIOS updates available to OEM companies, not to the public. PCS will be able to tell you whether there is a BIOS update for your computer and whether you need it. You might give them a call when you've checked the above.
