Windows 10 & NVIDIA Optimus on Clevo laptops

The Geforce forum here and the Windows 10 forum here both suggest that the GPU switching and freezing issue with Windows 10 and NVIDIA Optimus is now fixed.

The Geforce forum (post #114) has a user with almost the same setup as me (Clevo Optimus IV - he has the 17" I have the 15.6") with Intel HD4000 and GTX660M and according to him the HD driver version 15.33.42.4358 and GTX660M driver version 364.96 fixes the GPU switch and freeze. Several owners of Clevo laptops suggest that this fixes the issue.

The Windows 10 forum (post #12) suggests that the NVIDIA driver 365.10 fixes the problem (perhaps it's 364.96 onwards?).

I downgraded to Windows 8.1 because of this issue but would quite like to go back to Windows 10. Can anyone with a Clevo laptop (that's almost all PCS laptop customers I think?) confirm that these driver versions (especially the NVIDIA version 364.96 or later) fixes the problem?

Very many thanks all. :)

Yeah, sorry. It has been fixed, I can vouch for that, took me a while to realise it had been though. Essentially all drivers are latest with no issues whatsoever.

Thanks guys. I can confirm that the issue is fixed with the latest graphics drivers. However the graphics drivers installed by Windows Update did not fix the issue, which is a disappointment really. I had to manually install the latest Intel and NVIDIA drivers myself.

This is actually my second trial of Windows 10, I dropped back to 8.1 because of this issue. Let's see how things go now.....

I'm not happy with MS force installing the iGPU drivers, we still need control over it.
