Windows 10 Desktop Gaming PC Question (Using the F8 key?)

Hi

I am planning to buy a new Desktop PC in 8 months time.

My windows 8 laptop (Now upgraded to windows10) doesn't allow me to boot using the F8 key?

Will I be able to use the f8 key to choose which external usb3 hard disk to boot from?

Currently I use Macrium Relect on my windows 7 PCS Desktop computer which allows me to use the F8 key to choose my bootup drive, usb3 hard drives.

thanks

Jonathan

You could try f2 as soon as you turn on, even worthing tapping it a few times, that should take you to the BIOS and you can get to the boot menu there.

Delete will work in some cases. Worth an online search as there should be a direct way to the BIOS, How old is your laptop and what model is it. I had W8 on my two year old Voyager, thought I used f2 but could be wrong, a long time ago, but was certainly able to get to the BIOS.

You could also try disabling the secure boot UEFI.
