WinDirStat Lost HDD Space

Hi

After running a lot of tools at malwarebytes.org

My windows directory use to be 24.6GB (WinDirStat)

Now it is 27.3GB (2.7GB more)

What's taking up the extra space?

It's most probably fragmentation of the directories. Try running the Windows defragmenter and see what WinDirStat says then?

I thought you shouldn't run a defragmenter on a SSD ?

No you shouldn't. I didn't realise it was an SSD!

It probably is file fragmentation that's causing this apparent size increase. On an SSD of course fragmentation is not an issue. I wouldn't worry about it.
