Why can't i delete folders?

according to windows 7 i need ''permission'' to delete a folder FROM MY OWN COMPUTER

this is honestly ridiculous and is unnecessary.

why should i need permission? this is MY PC and it says I'm the admin.

what next? needing permission to drive my own ****ing car????

bottom line, there will be a way to fix this but i should NOT need to do ANYTHING in order to delete my OWN folders from my OWN PC.

You can uninstall internet explorer but it will revert back to previous version.
Go to control panel/programs and features/view installed updates/right click windows internet explorer/uninstall.

Its protected because its part of windows.

Guarantee you would be complaining if windows let you delete files which it needed.

You can override it but its extremely inadvisable unless you know exactly what your doing tbh.

but I don't want or need internet explorer

and the fact of the matter is that this is my computer and I should be allowed to do whatever the hell i like to it

It's required for windows updates among other things.
It's an integral part of windows, you can't simply get rid of it,
not by any safe conventional means anyway.

You can do what you like, you can delete windows if you liek and use a different product.
Its a windows service rather than an application.

Think of it like you buying a game and saying why cant i delete the sniper rifle, I never use it, its annoying but yet I won it so I should be able to delete it. Its just part fo the product, the same way that IE is part of windows.

Windows won’t let me delete an integral component of windows. Good, thank you Microsoft for one less problem.

Edit:

The ie comments in this thread, meh.

Chrome sucks
Firefox sucks
Safari sucks
Opera sucks more than any for the ridiculous Vista / ie7 ruling
ie sucks
browsers, in general, suck.

everyone has their preference and any browser that consistently makes web developers moan gets my vote.
