ive researched alot online and it appears that the Haf-x has come up victor the most .

just thought you guys might swing me

i do plan on overclocking my GPU in the future so i need good cooling and i will be SLIing so which case will be best for the above requirements . also which case would be best for quad SLI?

thanks

Personally the CM Storm Sniper gets my vote, it has a lot of fans (the new version does anyway) and space for wires etc. so it's simple to set up if you need any upgrades. I use mine for extreme gaming and it does the trick well, also I have 13 dogs (pack of Beagles) in the house, and even though they are not allowed upstairs in my room I find dog hairs EVERYWHERE and the ability to take the filter out and clean it is a huge bonus for me.

Well I was going for the HAF-X but the sniper is equally as good for its price. The haf-x has 2 vga holders which can both have 80 and 120mm fans so that would keep you 2 gpus reallu cool. I am pretty the haf-x would fit quad sli better but I having all the vga holders it would get really cramped. And why even bother with quad SLI ? 2 GPU's should be able enough. Plus the cost of a decent power supply is a waste in the long run I think.

there were a lot of us discussing this issue a while back and the conclusion was that the HAF-X is better, although the sniper is more than fine if you cant stretch the extra £20 or you think it looks better (i think it looks better than the HAF-X)

True. When you look at it both cases are the same cooling wise. They both have 3 x 200 mm fans (side, front, top) and a back fan.

i have 4 dogs and they are all short haired resulting in alot of hair , does the haf-x have dust filters? also is the fan controller on the sniper pointfull. i like the look of both cases cos the blue LEDs look nice on the sniper but the haf-x has a window on it . is it easy to change the LEDs on the haf-x ?

just because they have the same fans, dont mean they are both the same, you dont know the speeds of the fans, i think the HAF-X ones are slightly higher, the HAF-X side fan has a funnel type thing to direct the air directly onto the graphics card, which is the hottest part, meaning card temps are lower

also someone said that the fan controller on the sniper doesnt allow full speed on fans, and all fans built in are connected to it

haf x is a lot bigger, meaning better cooling without fans

the shell of the haf-x is a lot more open and the fan slots are not the only palces where air can enter, it can enter naturally through a few different places

the haf-x has room for a radiator, for improved cooling and also has a lot more empty slots for fans, the sniper only has one free which is at the bottom, which is probably the least effective fan in the case
