Hi, which cable should I use for my new monitor? It's 2560x1440p 27 inch 21:9. I'll also be using it for my 4k tv to play games on that now and again.
It supports d-sub, dvi, disport, and HDMI 1.4 and came with all those cables too except the hdmi one..
Which one will give the best overall experience?
Thanks.

Display port ftw.
HDMI 1.4 doesn't support 21:9 aspect ratio monitors. It also displays 4K at 30Hz max which will be massively annoying especially if you are gaming on it.
HDMI 2.0 works fine on 4K though.

So you are saying that if you are using a 4k display don't use a HDMI cable as this can only output 30hz? ouch

That's right, at least for now (till HDMI is updated maybe?). You also need to ensure you're using a Displayport 1.2 cable - apparently its supposedly the 'female' connector (ie the ones on the graphics cards) that matters, but when I first hooked up my 4K screen I could only display at 30Hz until I got a better cable.
